Hello Im at work pls dont drop dealz, thank you much love GreencloudVPS <3

No deals for working people, they can afford full price!

Well said, but not exactly. People working hard are desperate for idlers, buying without using.

Thank you so much guys for getting us 4.3 by now! Do you think we can get up to 4.5-4.6? That would be something worth celebrating!

Please leave us a review if you haven't done it yet. : https://www.trustpilot.com/review/greencloudvps.com

    Thanks much~

    Hi @haodo ,

While I appreciate your offers in the thread, I don't think asking for bumping your review score on TrustPilot in exchange for offering deals is fair. This way people are clearly incentivised to leave you 5 star review.

It's okay to ask for any review after using service for some time, but certainly not in this way.

Do flash deals for new customers and you'll probably achieve that faster. More satisfied customers = Better ratings on TrustPilot.

New people bumping review score just for the sake of it would be even worse. People should have some experience with the provider before leaving the review. That's usually how it works.

To be fair, they only urge us to rate the service on satisfaction or not. However, it is necessary to clarify to avoid overusing it, which will cause it to miss its original purpose.

@haodo did not mention dropping more deals in exchange for reviews. Getting 4.5 or 4.6 stars on TrustPilot is something worth celebrating.

Btw, @haodo and I did not say anything about leaving immediate reviews. No deadline given. No forced positive reviews. It's natural to try out a service for some time before leaving an honest review, whether the service and support are good or bad. Asking for flash deals for new customers does not mean that the new customers will immediately give fake positive reviews upon getting their hands on the deals.

    bribery :D

I wouldn't call it a bribery. I'm very grateful for what greencloud offers us.
I just find it a bit wrong and in violation to TrustPilot rules so I want to point it out before it leads to any issues.

If you’re asking for reviews, your invitation process and language should be fair, neutral and unbiased.

    source: https://legal.trustpilot.com/for-everyone/action-we-take

Maybe GreenCloud host reps forgot about it or didn't think it could lead to such outcome. I heard a lot of good things about them over the past few months. I believe they have good intentions :)

  • @oloke said: I don't think asking for bumping your review score on TrustPilot in exchange for offering deals is fair.

In all fairness to Green Cloud and team, they're not asking you to leave fake reviews. They're asking you to leave genuine reviews based on your experience (esp. since most of the flash sales in this thread are for existing/active customers - so presumably you're hanging around in this thread (hopefully actively participating) because you like your services with them and you see value in them). Like all companies, they're hoping that their ratings will go up, because customers who like them and think highly of them aren't leaving enough reviews.

The team has (mostly) posted offers based on the good will, popularity, cajoling and camaraderie that is generated here - and this is not the first time they're doing it either.

I'm in no way affiliated with anyone and I'm writing the above purely based on my own read of the situation and your post. No one has offered or denied any flash deals to me. I can neither confirm nor deny that I'm a bot or not or if I'm an AI or not or if I am sentient or not.

in a deal thread, saying you'll "celebrate" if you reach a certain threshold while linking your trupilot isn't asking to "leave genuine reviews based on your experience" that's a huge leap

    @anakara @MisterFreebie @nullnothere

I agree with your points as well.
I know a lot of people using GC and being satisfied, so the team is clearly doing a good job.
Could be just me overreacting or misinterpreting their comment, in which case -- I'm sorry.

  • @emgh Wait, how did you make your own green cap? It's soooo cute.

  • I understand that Greencloud doesn’t offer any deals in exchange for Trustpilot ratings. However, taking advantage of the buzz around the Birthday Sale thread can help boost ratings more quickly.
I think it might be better to post this information in a different thread — for example, https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/183019/greenclouds-thread-news-requests-feedbacks-and-chit-chat#latest — to avoid any confusion.

I believe your little reminder is in good faith.
However, as @nullnothere said, almost every transaction here is for active customers, meaning they are already using the service. At the same time, they never said they had to rate it 5*.
Of course, it's up to you to decide whether you want to rate it or not, whether it's good or bad.

I just want to express my opinion, not for any favors!

We didn’t ask for reviews as part of the Flash Sale. It was simply a gentle reminder for customers - if they’re satisfied with our services, they’re welcome to leave a review. This helps future customers when they search for feedback on platforms like Google.
I’ll ask @haodo to pause that approach for now, as we understand some people may feel uncomfortable with it. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

By the way, I’ve just returned - please get ready for the next Flash Sale in 20–30 minutes.
