  I have gotten a GPU from red daddy very long ago but it is still idling now because my PC is only on 520W PSU which is nowhere enough to power that GPU.

  Yes - lots of prices have jumped up quite a bit (HDDs, NVMe, RAM...) and it's not clear if it is because of tariffs or something else behind the scenes.

  NVMe drives have gone up for two main reasons:

  • There's no longer a oversupply of flash memory (which is what brought the prices down to historic lows in 2023)
  • A lot of them are being used in AI servers, so there's much higher demand now.
