He’s lying about the RUB exchange rate, both here and on his website, to make his services look cheaper.

    239.40 RUB = 2.95 USD

    Source: https://wise.com/gb/currency-converter/rub-to-usd-rate

At the same time, he intentionally breaks the selling rules on LET by advertising VPSs that cost more than $10/mo.

Wonder why anyone would do business with this lying, scamming troll.

Oh, and he also lies about being GDPR compliant in his privacy policy.

It’s very simple, a Russian company cannot be GDPR compliant.

What a cunt, trying to deceive his customers into breaking local laws.

We use the internal exchange rate, and it seems to be correct.

Because the price has been added to the commission rate (there is only one exception to the commission: for a wire transfer to a Russian bank which is 0%). Exact balue of commission rate depends on the payment method you choose and in most case do not exceed 5%.

Wonder why anyone would do business with this lying, scamming troll.

As many times have been said, claim your hate for anything Russian you have a trash topic at https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/177624/the-russia-vs-ukraine-thread-lets-not-derail-other-threads#latest. Please go there.

PS. If $0.12 is too big a value, I will remove that plan from the announcement next time, so as not to violate the rules.

And then the scammer uses Litecoin as “proof” of the exchange rate between RUB and USD.

To make himself look even more stupid, the screenshot shows 254.64 RUB = 3.10 USD.

In other words, his own "proof" shows he is lying.

1199 RUB = 14.79 USD and NOT ~10.12$ as he claims.

What wrong with Litecoin? Also we did not say anywhere that USD/RUB would be official exchange rate set by Central bank in Russia.

    :D

That is because exchange rate has been changed, and now it seems to be 239.40 (~2.03 USD). Our internal rate depends on the Russian Central Bank rate, which changes every day. The value in USD is calculated automatically based on Russian rubles and the exchange rate, and I will check whether the calculation formula works properly.

Nobody inside Russia pays in USD, and nobody outside Russia can use a fake Russian exchange rate for anything, you dumb fuck.

I guess anyone who is objective may understand that LTC is not directly equal to USD. As well as other cryptocurrencies. Our prices in USD show an approximate value so that customers can understand approximately how much they will spend. If a customer may use payment in Russian rubles, he will get the exact cost shown on the site and in the billing.

I don't see anything wrong with that. No one in Russia uses the official exchange rate announced by the Russian Central Bank directly, even banks.

  • I see 239 RUB = $3.10 on your order page for the Finland Pluto VPS

  • Not supported by PayPal

  • Why is it limited to 350mbit?

I have already explained above that this is because commissions and because prices listed in USD are only for informational purposes and they are related to the exchange rate dynamics.

IIRC I've seen other companies in this embargo mess managing foreign payments thru a Latvian subsidiary / branch.

I've corrected the USD amounts to make them more realistic

I've also removed plans Neptune and Uranus because >10 USD

In the future, please use an international site for determining the USD exchange rate because this will be closer to what an international customer will pay. (I used xe.com )

No, they do not allow Russian companies to receive payment for virtual services.

I guess we will use the USDT exchange rate as a base for foreigners to avoid any mix with the RUB/USD rate.
