Managed WordPress Options?

I am looking for managed WordPress options but not extremely expensive, like paying $25 per month for one website.

Comments

  • Managed means different things to different people. I like Cloudways.

  • Hey! Here are some solid options under $25/month:
Cloudways starts around $11-14/month - actual managed hosting with good performance on DigitalOcean/Vultr infrastructure.
Hostinger has managed plans from $4-8/month with auto-updates, caching, and staging.
SiteGround is around $15-20/month with solid WordPress support (watch for renewal price increases though).
Scaleway has a WordPress InstantApp image that's super affordable (€7-12/month). Not fully managed, but easy setup and you could add RunCloud or ServerPilot for management.
I've had good experience with Cloudways for client sites. Just decide what "managed" means to you.

  • you'll either pay more $$ for a fully managed setup (like WPEngine, Flywheel, Kinsta, etc) or spend less $$ and more time to roll your own solution. For a single site the first route is often cheaper. As you get more sites, going the pseudo-DIY route starts to make more sense. I use Runcloud.io for my client sites, but there are other similar "control panel" providers that have WP specific setups where you can either provide your own server and install the control panel, or they provide everything (for more $$). I prefer to provide my own infrastructure and use Runcloud to provision and manage it. I'm still responsible for WP core and plugin updates (though you could set all those to auto-update). And then you have things like backups that you either pay more $$ for or roll your own solution. Again, for one site, doing a full DIY approach can work out more expensive, but it doesn't take long to come out ahead money-wise when you're dealing with more than a single site. Economies of scale, and all that.

  • Try Rocket.net lowest tier, $5 more expensive but they got Cloudflare Enterprise CDN which is a great value imo

  • I would say use Runcloud, FlyWP or SpinupWP with a good VPS. I personally have used Runcloud for almost a year, now I am using cloudpanel. And over that period Runcloud was good. And true managed services will not come at cheaper price. You can even try Cloudways as mentioned by others! It will cost you 14USD a month.

We offer WP Cloud-powered WordPress hosting for $8.00/mo per site. Could you please clarify the level of management you expect from the provider?
