If you have $15.00/mo to spend, @NameCrane 's Crates are a good option. Plus, @Francisco is a very reputable provider! You can't go wrong with them!
A more cost-effective option would likely be to find a reasonably priced shared hosting package with Installatron or Softaculous to install NextCloud. If the provider also offers backups, that's a bonus. Then you can connect external storage to NextCloud
If you change your mind and decide to self-host, check the offers section
You can get a 500GB Storage Box for $8/year from Hostbrr & use softaculous to install nextcloud.
You could try Nextcloud AiO https://github.com/nextcloud/all-in-one
Docker based, handles all upgrades automatically and runs scheduled backups.
+1 for Hostbrr storegae box solution
Frankly, I don't think that you'll find managed Nextcloud for cheaper than Hetzner, so if you find €4.29 (+ VAT) / month too high, then you're out of luck
If you want cheap, then you need to install and to manage your own Nextcloud, as others have suggested
Bero host is very cheap for 100GB
https://bero-host.de/server/prepaid-nextcloud-mieten
Didn't try the product though
That is cheap. (I stand corrected)
Note that it's HDD, so probably not super quick
But I guess that one could always just test it: the lowest price is €0,25 (including VAT) for 100GB for 7 days!
I use the service for a year or so and it works well for me. I don't see any performance issues, Web-UI feels snappy.
Hello
I have made a payment 6EUR to them for nextcloud 100GB for 6 months.
But i didn't see the product appearing in my panel.
Do you know why?
@virtfh take a look here https://solidvps.com/nextcloud-vps.php
Our starter plan is $4.95/m comes with 100GB Storage, can you give you a coupon to bring it down to $2.95/m, PM if you are interested
https://datalix.eu/rent-nextcloud-hosting
250 GB NVMe Storage
2.45 € / Monthly
This is quite good. thank you.
Just to say that you shouldn't assume that a Nextcloud provider (or any provider) makes/keeps backups unless they say that they do
https://www.hetzner.com/storage/storage-share/
There is managed NC with Ionos, I have never used it and have seen negative feedback about the provider but here we go.
https://www.ionos.de/office-loesungen/managed-nextcloud-hosting#tarife
Free small storage with Bacloud.
I prefer not only files but also tasks, notes, carddav, libreoffice etc.
Nothing beats hetzner for this.
Any APAC provider for Nextcloud host? (SGP/VNM preferred)
I disagree

You should have a yearly offer for example $18/yr for 500GB.
Used the service couldn't like it even though i wanted to, the value for money aspect was off the charts but service as a whole, i don't think it was comparable to hetzner's offering.
Being half the cost of hetzners offering with the double storage promo, I wonder what you didn't like ?
Constructive feedback is always welcome
I think I did provide the necessary feedback on original thread, the most disappointing thing for me was lack of transparency, as being in a sub user directory it's quite easy to snoop in ain't it? Like using impersonation, I asked wether the service was comprehensive and allows further users for collaboration, which sadly wasn't the case, same for custom domains, Ohh and it doesn't mean I hate your nc offering, I just couldn't find it useful for my use case.
@berohost
Thank you for the feedback, we do have in plans to add custom domain and collaboration in the future.
On my side I was looking for something to share with my family (so separate logins) where I would admin which is how Hetzner's Storage share functions. If you had that without the enduser needing to manage the hardware/system side of things it'd be much more attractive. (your S3 is working great though stand alone for other things!)
Do you know, is this box stackable? Could I take 4 and get 2tb box?
I do not think it is but you can get 1TB for $27.
With rclone you can stack it. $28 for 2t is more interesting than 1t for $27
