Looking for Game Server hosting in South America
Hello, I'm currently looking for a VPS in South America.
I only need it for 2 months, but I'm open to a 1yr if the price is low enough. I was able to find a $35/year extremely overkill EU Ryzen VPS a few months back, but I am unfortunately aware that SA hosting is generally more expensive.
Minimum Specs:
CPU: 2 vCore, >=1000 GB6 single-core.
RAM: 3GB (1.5GB per vCore).
Disk: 150GB
Don't need the best mitigation or tons of bandwidth.
will primarily be used for game servers (TF2). I already have other servers running smoothly on a 2697v3 and older, so anything with similar/better single-core is good enough for me.
Datacenters in these locations are the ones that would work best for us (average pings):
1. Brazil (~5-20ms)
2. Argentina (~25-40ms)
3. Chile (~50-70ms)
latency for Peru and Colombia is too high for most players (>90ms consistently), but if you've got a dirt cheap (<$25/year) server in these regions I may pick one up anyway.
Thanks!

MS Azure? Never mind probably much more expensive than you wan't to pay for.
Well their Chile prices don't seem too bad compared to other places, I'll keep them in mind
Vultr Santiago de Chile? (Vultr Brazil is the only region with higher prices than the normal lineup)
Check this Chile provider

Monthly prices seemingly start at ~$40. Vultr in my experience ends up being more expensive after like 1-2 weeks compared to cheaper options.
Never knew that infofractal has vps as well - using them since ages for dedis, looks like an attractive offer for South America. So I would recommend to try them. (but I don't know anything about game server requirements, so this is just a general recommendation for that hoster).
Does location really matter?
Can you tell me what game it is?
Team Fortress 2 with custom server mods to reduce CPU/RAM usage. Most server (or desktop) hardware newer than 2011-12 can run them without issue.
If SA players can get <65ms physical location doesn't matter. if you have an IP I can ping from Brazil/Argentina and the hardware/latency LGTM, I'm interested.

Before purchasing, contact support and tell them you want a server in ARG or Chile.
