Hi, is OVH fine for torrenting?

No idea what official policy is, but I've been using an ancient KS-1 (Atom based box, upgraded to 2T when the original 500G drive had issues) mostly as a seedbox for years without issue. Mostly private trackers though, which generally gets less attention. Only moving off because the 100mbps network limit is becoming mildly restrictive (will probably keep the box for backups and bits until it dies, or they cancel as they don't want to keep such old kit running any more, if it was still 500G I'd have dropped it some time ago).

It's rated for about 200TBW, it's well below that.

I would not request a new one.

Meh I don’t see any problem with that one, you could try to api request it but nothing says that you are not getting something worst when they replace

I tried one in GRA and got zero upgrade, the network was 500/1000.

500mps ingress? Never seen that with OVH, it's always 1gps or even 10gps, even on KS.

Or did you mean 500mps egress on v4 and v6?

Seems like the 10Gbit "upgrade" from @Captcha is in Germany only I guess.

No, the KS-STOR I'm keeping for my Plan9 ISOs is in Strasbourg and has the 10Gb download mini lotto. We had enough wars with our German friends to have settled that Strasbourg is NOT in Germany.

No other upgrades but all 5 drives are 4 months old.

I'd say the storage servers from HostDZire are now much better value than those KS-STOR. 4x4TB storage with 100T/1Gbps for only 150 EUR per year, which is only about half the price of a KS-STOR and two thirds of a lottery KS-2.

Its like apples and oranges. In comparison to OVH:

    • HDZ is currently out of stock, may never see the deal again
    • HDZ has no Paypal
    • HDZ is more likely to deadpool or go bankrupt
    • HDZ is more likely to face price indexation and pass them on to customers annually
    • HDZ has an inferior customer panel
    • HDZ doesn't have 24/7 tech support
    • HDZ has limited locations
    • HDZ has metered traffic on most deals
    • HDZ IPv4 cost more

HDZ is currently out of stock, may never see the deal again
HDZ is more likely to Deadpool or go bankrupt

    Funny :D

But hey, HostDZire is just reselling leaseweb still able to beat Ovh deals B)

Do you currently have any offers or deals on Singapore dedicated servers?

Now who hasn't learnt their lessons from last year and still are not ready to use the API on a day like this?

    Bloody beat me to it!

I know you were going to, I was going to let you, but KS-LE-B, I had to be the one. Next time KS-A appears, I'll leave it to you!

I think everyone should get DMing @allthemtings to join the waitlist.

Anyway, looking that those FQNs, 90% sure that its exactly the same configs as last year.

Agreed, without the setup fee I imagine.

Now who hasn't learnt their lessons from last year and still are not ready to use the API on a day like this?

I'll be firing up the scripts shortly
