  • Cheers mate played around with it for a bit and ended up with a messy monitor

Sounds like a positive review for pornhub.

We rolled out an update last night to enable email notifications for when:

    • A review or benchmark is successfully published
    • A review or benchmark is rejected
    • A provider replies to a user's review

We are also working on a sweet user dashboard to track progress on the platform towards the new achievement tiers we are working on among other things.

We are probably 2 more weeks away from publishing the performance index. Still collecting data right now.

Over 640 benchmarks submitted to ServerVerify so far, super cool to see the platform getting used.

    Thanks for the contributions everyone.

How were the reviews anonymized? Just changing the name of the poster, or changing all the words?

Because many of the words, in the order they appear on ServerVerify, are not indexed anywhere else on LowEndTalk or LowEndBox, or any other site indexed by Google, for that matter.

If someone said, "This is a good provider", does that get "anonymized" into, "Wow, what a great provider! Their support is available 24/7 by phone, email or live chat. Their native IPv6 makes my website blazing fast on mobile phones! The included easy to use control panel makes managing my Wordpress site a breeze. I highly recommend [provider name]!"

I don't think I've seen a single response to this point @MannDude has mentioned several times.

    Interesting.

    Quoting for visibility.

I've covered flavors of this question before.

When I said reviews were anonymized with the help of AI, I meant that things like names, order numbers, IPs, or other identifiers were removed or lightly reworded so they couldn’t be traced back to a specific person. The goal wasn’t to rewrite or change what people said.

At launch, some of that early data was definitely over-refined and the quality wasn’t where it should’ve been. That’s why we changed course, dramatically reducing the number of anonymized reviews from about 71k down to roughly 1k. Now, with the manual audit about 95% complete, what’s left is either untouched or has only very minor edits that don’t change the author’s original intent.

I need a few more hours of focused time to finish the final pass, which should be done in the next few days.

we were there, at that point, before when you took over LET. Just like back then I give you a fair chance, which also means that I see and recognize any progress made. And just like back then there are many with a different approach.

Just go ahead, persistence tends to pay off. I think and trust you can and will make it work well.

  • Guys, what do I need to do if I want to review a provider which isn't in the list?

You can add the provider yourself or let me know the name and I'll add it :).

Maybe you feel like you cleared that up but I genuinely can't find it. Mind you it's not my point anyway, the lack of response just set off my spidey senses.

It's what I'm most curious about as well as it really does make providers look bad who have these obviously fake reviews added to their profiles, and I assume (or would at least hope) they did not request or consent to this. A dozen obviously fake 5 star reviews does more damage to a brand's reputation than a dozen real 3 and 4 star reviews as far as I'm concerned.

But whatever. Seems like the target of this site would likely be the growing ESL audience of LET and scrapers. (Nothing wrong with ESL users, just that it may be harder for them to realize they're being duped)

I agree. If that's the case, and I don't know @MannDude as someone who likes to create trouble but as a reasonable guy, so I presume what he said is correct, then that question should be answered clearly.

IMO, most "sins" can be forgiven but should be honestly confessed, even more so, as @jbiloh already did an awful lot of work to clean up, so he is credibly serious about that project. Why then ignore an ugly stain?

BTW: how can we add hosting plans? Or maybe you can let us know when this feature is available?

    Currently available. Steps are:

    1. Click on your profile icon top right
    2. Click on MY PROVIDERS
    3. Click on EDIT DETAILS
    4. Hit ADD SERVICE button in the top right of the HOSTING SERVICES table

  • @jbiloh, thanks for maintaining the service! Requesting an easy but highly useful feature: list AS numbers on the provider page and link each number to AS lookup site like https://bgp.he.net/AS33651
