If you're not in a hurry to use it, you can wait for the Milan processor series.
they goin to release soon?
I've been using @serverpoint LET exclusive VPSs for a year. I don't know much about their DDos protecion, but the uptime is quite good. I haven't got any downtime so far. Recently, one of my servers had CPU steal according to my monitoring tool. I tried to contact support with proofs. Of course, their support time might be a bit long, but they elaborated the issue with me and moved to less noisy hypervisor. Overall, I can recommend them.
aha! I see our secret is out haha
Yes, we have some AMD Epyc Milan hypervisors in Singapore, which are currently online for our existing customer base (non LET offers) and today we are installing some in our Las Vegas, NV data center.
Other locations will follow over the next few months.
We are still very much in the testing phase with those, observing how much we can push them and making sure our OS templates are stable with these hypervisors.
But we expect to post an offer on those in the next week or two, along with... drum roll... routed IPv6
That's also already online but we are still creating some interfaces for our portal so that customers can request/manage their IPv6.
As of tomorrow or the day after, all VMs created in Singapore will be assigned an IPv6 IP, however, that IP will not work until we flip the switch next week. Routed /64s and /56s will follow a week after. This will then be activated at all our other locations.
Our Santa Clara, CA and Las Vegas, NV data centers will get IPv6 switched on in November.
If you are looking for the lowest price though, for now, it will still be our Xeon E5v4 based CPUs. The AMDs will be a bit slightly more pricey (a few dollars a month here and there).
For existing LET clients wanting to upgrade, we will be adding an automated upgrade path in our portal sometime in November/December.
How can I get a discount on serverpoints? Is there one on Black Friday? I'll be waiting for it. Let me know.
