Needless to say, based on past experience, we're on high alert

  • InternetX typo? :D

  • is the annual price recurring? might be useful for some cold storage?

Probably a dumb question, but I'm having trouble finding a web site for Layer7. Link? I tried searching.
Edit: Never mind -- sorry. Found it.

  • I will rather pay double to pcloud or at almost same price koofr is highly recommended.

    Why you choose pcloud?

    1. Pcloud never discloses their data center locations. WHY? Because they don't have any own DC. (https://www.pcloud.com/features/security.html) If you are using someone else's data centers, how are they safe, you claim? - you can't take names... they can be cheap or unworthy!
    2. One thing I don't understand https://www.pcloud.com/gdpr/ (GDPR) they claim. Who are their GDPR compliance consultants? Any reports ever published in the public domain? Mega.nz is far better showing middle finger to GDPR.
    3. You can't trust them with your backup files. No data loose gurantee. which is basic.

koofr = can be a choice but very limited features..

I got the 2TB lifetime about 2 years ago, but the apps were so basic and WebDAV was proprietary, so I basically ended up letting it idle with some 400GB encrypted backups.

I checked again some times, but never got back to using it. Recently upgraded my pCloud to 2,5TB and use that along with Koofr mainly.

On Discord, I have heard from someone who uses it for his Plex though, so it does apparently work for Plex.

  • The Ultimate plan sounds nice, as I can see, there is CLI & WebDAV & rclone support. But there is another promotion running through StackSocial right now, that sells 50 TB:
    https://www.stacksocial.com/sales/internxt-cloud-storage-lifetime-subscription-50tb
There is a note though: It does not include other products or features, such as Internxt Mail, Meet, CLI, Cleaner, Auto-Backups, or Antivirus, which are sold separately by Internxt.
Does this mean rclone and webdav won't work either, as they rely on the CLI, can you please confirm or deny this, @Internxt ?

  • Just wondering what "Post-Quantum Encryption" is ...

Simply a clown company that does not respect anyone's privacy. With the shit product on top of that.

Gonna save here scans with all saved trackers for future proof, if ever needed or it gets removed:

  • I bought their 5tb deal on StackSocial about a year ago (there was no warning about stacksocial accounts won't cover cli access), cli/webdav was working with Duplicati without a hitch. But with the latest update they disabled cli access for StackSocial buyers. That's a very, I don't know how to put this politely, scammy (?) move. Their next move will be saying "you have 5tb but you cannot upload files more than 100kb" probably.
    Should have listened you guys...

I tested out the CLI and WebDAV with rclone for the first time on my 1TB deal account I got many years ago, and it's supported on my account.

Internxt's WebDAV support is however very broken and unusable. The folders are listed via my rclone mount, but existing files in the folders are not listed, and if I create a new file in one of the existing folders with WebDAV, it creates the file in a new folder with the same name. The web interface now shows that there are multiple folders with the identical name (same casing too), one which contains the files uploaded via the web interface and the other contains the file created via WebDAV.

Agreed - they've always been the same since they started out.

The whole plan is just to get as many lifetime deals as possible and deadpool or sunset them.

Hello, just saw this thread. I use Linux desktop (X)Ubuntu -

the Problem: Internxt desktop apps for Linux simply do not seem to work. (I accept not every cloud storage provider offers a Linux app... so thanks for at least developing/trying)
So Appimage (2.5) does not work I am aware of issues Ubuntu - Appimage, but even creating an apparmor profile for internxt appimage and/or running it with the --no-sandbox flag did not work. It might open but clicking on a folder - for example sync folder - it crashes.

the installation based on .deb ( internxt_2.5.0_amd64.deb) does not work either.
    _
so basically neither the latest (2.5) .deb version nor appimage work on Linux (X)Ubuntu 24. :o
going through discussion boards, that problem has been noted for well over a year. I have been in touch with Internxt and was told to use Nautilus as file manager. (as I use XFCE not my usual file manager - but switching to Nautilus made no difference)
Not sure if the desktop app for lifetime plans has any function at all (apart from displaying the content of the internxt folder - which does not sync)

So if Internxt read this post, perhaps you could comment on how to make your linux desktop app useable for example on Ubuntu-based distros?

For all those (like me) who bought a lifetime plan - please remember if you are trying to use the "sync" function it tells me to upgrade my plan! why? seems that they reduce functionality for lifetime plans - despite aggressively advertising lifetime plans. :#

it is however possible to upload files/folders via webbrowser, but my system started overheating for large uploads (perhaps 8-10 GB) :s :'(
