DeluxHost suspended my both servers. Saying that too high Cpu usage?!
Their servers has very high IO wait all the time. Servers almost useless.
Made several tickets to them. And they couldnt fix IO wait at all. Finally i did make paypal complain from them. And before that even ends Deluxhost just suspended both of my servers that i payed 1 year advance. And they dont return my payments.
You see IO wait is high all the time. And does this CPU usage look like its high?
I never buy nothing from this company. They only took money and dont get any service!

For transparency, how much did you paid for this VPS?
one of my two machines has been suspended out of tin air
Product/Service: H-4
Suspension Reason: Abuse (DDoS Attacks)
after contacted them, they unsuspended the affected vm, no word why it was flagged for ddos or some reasoning about that
35€ / year for this and other one 15€. so they took money. and suspended both servers and dont return my payment. Could use only 1-2 months these.
This is unrealistic price for 3 vCPU / 16 GB RAM unless heavily oversold.
Well see they do what ever. Cannot trust them at all!
Have you ever read a ToS?

If you do a chargeback to any provider, he will probably terminate your account.
BTW, my (idle) server with them has 0 wi. Are you sure this is not an issue of yours?

By opening a dispute with paypal, you have also terminated the relationship between you and the service provider. Please wait for paypal to handle this dispute.
@DeluxHost
Tagging for attention from the right folks.
They're not fussy about refunds. I did ask politely and received a full refund. Maybe you should do it in the future?
i love their scheduled maintenances
after so many offers from them, im sure its some kind of overprovisioning, for testing or similar its ok, everything else.... for that price, dont expect a perfect machine

Finally they are cracking down on those who were hammering the node
They should not provide servers with unrealistic config/prices!
If you know the price/performance is unrealistic then you shouldn't buy it.
Einstein, i haven't and i would really not buy anything that is too good to be true (which isn't true)!
confirm it
what does this mean? You sound like a trump AI malfunctioning
Lowend host and demanding customer
Not a good equation.
I just, a few days ago, benchmarked my @DeluxHost VPS again (the $12/yr version), and to be honest I saw numbers that were way lower than when I just had got it a few months ago.
BUT - and an important but: I'm far from even thinking about cancelling the service, let alone asking for a refund.
Main reasons:
(a) what do you expect from an extremely low priced VPS? Of bloody course such a thingy is heavily occupied and even expecting to get a 25% fair share of resources probably is stretching it.
(b) DeluxHost publicly said that they are cracking down on abusers, so they DO care.
All in all I think we got a good deal. No reason at all to open A PayPal dispute (but probably a "normal" reaction of abusers). Fuck them.
Is this heavy cpu usage?!

Hi everyone,
we’d like to clarify a few things about this situation. Over the last few months we’ve enforced very strict internal procedures to protect service stability, and we’ve had to take action against many abusive users. In just the past few months hundreds of accounts have been suspended, around a hundred in September alone. We know this approach is tough, but it’s necessary to keep things fair for legitimate customers.
Because our controls are so strict, there’s always a small chance that someone who hasn’t really done anything wrong could be temporarily affected. We’re not perfect, and false alerts can happen, but the correct way to handle any issue is always through a support ticket. Opening a PayPal dispute, as clearly stated in our Terms of Service, automatically suspends all active services and can even lead to account closure. That’s exactly what seems to have happened here, and it’s unfortunate, because we always prefer to resolve things directly.
We carefully plan our capacity, manage resources responsibly, and make sure our nodes stay balanced even with competitive pricing. If we weren’t managing things properly, we wouldn’t still be here after so many offers and satisfied customers.
Even in this case, the first suspension is never final, we always give people a second chance when things are discussed respectfully and through the proper channels in case someone is actually violating our TOS (I'm speaking generally). We act in good faith and our goal has always been to provide a fair, stable service for everyone.
If the client wants to reopen communication, we’re absolutely available to find a reasonable and peaceful solution together.
Thank you so much for your honest feedback and for understanding our efforts.
We truly appreciate customers like you who see the bigger picture. We’re working hard every day to improve overall performance and to keep things running as smoothly as possible. The workload is quite heavy at the moment, but we’re not giving up, we’ll keep pushing to deliver the best service we can.
No, it seems not - but still, there are hours long phases of too high usage. That said, I don't know the details of why your service(s) were suspended or cancelled. But I DO know that opening a PayPal dispute is a bad reaction.
@DeluxHost
FWIW I'm totally OK with how you proceed and in fact welcome it.
My only (mild) "complaint" would be that you should make it perfectly clear in your promo threads that of course there is a relation between price and performance. I know that and planned accordingly by not putting heavy loads on my VPS, but some, actually quite many, do not seem to know that (or to know it but simply ignore it).
Maybe with that in mind you should warn the customer first before suspending a VPS?
It would also be helpful to describe what you consider "excessive CPU usage" in your ToS.
What does that mean exactly: "Customers are required to ensure that their use of resources is in line with the specifications of the selected plan."
Oh, I love tin air, always buy those cans with forest air.
When did Deluxhost say they suspended you due to high cpu usage?
It seems to me that they suspended you when you opened a Paypal dispute, exactly as is stated in their ToS that they will.
OP chargebacked yesterday.
