I still dont understand what happened at the end and how it came to be.
But all the interactions i had with the chap was good ( except the end ), He was transparent when it comes to issues on their side, friendly and one of my first lowendproviders.
On a serious note, Crissic and Inception Hosting.
Ah, I forgot about Crissic. Loved their service.
123systems.
Absolute drama.
Same here. Had chats with him and he seemed very transparent with stuff. Unsure how he just went silent all of a sudden.
MyCustomHosting, DavidGestionDBI, HostsolutionsRO, ...
There was also ZXHost with some kind of limited time storage VPS.
Reading all those names and remembering the services I had with them make me feel old.
Oh dang. I didn't know @AnthonySmith closed up shop. I just saw the thread now since you mentioned that. He was definitely one of the first hosts I was aware of from this forum, since he was basically the head moderator here when I joined. Never used his services, but he was still definitely an OG here.
AFAIK, they're still selling VPS under BandwagonHost brand.
There is one I failed to remember, the one with dragon logo. They're pretty famous here before.
https://securedragon.net/ maybe?
GeoCities
Yess, this. Looks like they're still selling VPS.
Burst.net and hostrail...

Not hosting but i kinda miss Freenom for .tk .ml .cf domains.
Yup, but world feels nicer with lesser spams.
Crissic, mainly. Hosted a bunch of stuff with them back in the day.
I've not relied on VMs for such a long time, but massive mentions of "missing" providers go to HostWithLinux/Dedistation, BlueVM and BudgetNode. I was close with their respective management (and in the case of BlueVM - very active in their IRC channel back in the day).
The above hosts remind me of a time before my hair was starting to go grey and when it was a good time to be in IT. Not to mention a group of great friends

I genuinely do lol
At the time they offered the cheapest VPSes by far, and while they weren't the best they worked fine and were really good for the money.
Plus Johnny Nuggets drama was S tier
Great group of people. Worked with them for a few years.
Maxkvm. They rugged and concealed their identity extremely well. I have no idea who ran any of it, at all. They rented insane spec bare metal systems from hivelocity until they got booted, acted out in weaponized regardation publicly, and then rented bare metal from datapacket until they stopped paying their bills and deadpooled. Now I mainly use providers who specifically own their hardware and colocate because holy shit was it a debacle.
Hell yeah!
Was that BWH? I really can't remember. Xvm didn't last long but it was prem
Don't know how BWH is these days, had a couple of servers with them back them, no issues.
