I set up a Dokku instance on a VPS from 24fire.de with AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D cores and it feels really fast for the price. Since it's not a critical server, I thought I'd try this provider out. Does anyone here use them?

I've used their services quite a bit in the last few years. I am from Germany, so the website being in German and the latency are no problem for me.

Their support is quite fast and their community on discord is huge. Deals like the first/only LET-Deal (still online) and their new outlet at day 1, are exceptionally cheap for what you get.

As for the uptime of the VMs, it's depending on the location. If you choose a XEON, which is located in the Skylink Datacenter, you can expect downtime for time to time, but it doesn't last long. The VMs located in the NTT in Frankfurt am Main are much more stable and I witnessed the first real downtime today, as their ISP got attacked on their whole ASN.

Their own control panel makes them unique and premium, it's easy to monitor, deploy and configure existing and new VMs.

To put it in a nutshell, you pay a "premium" price for a "premium" product. There are definitely cheaper options in Germany, but each with it's own quirks. Their deals make them unbeatable in the VM space in Germany, if you are able to get one on time.

Thanks for sharing your experience :) I was surprised to see uptime alerts and found my SSH client disconnected when I got back home - now I know why. I was lucky it happened just one day after I signed up :D But good to hear Frankfurt is mostly stable
