No. It's a dedicated server. You can use it as such.
Source: trust me bro.
I haven’t seen any reviews where OVH suspends dedicated server for a full usage, as it’s a dedicated server and doesn’t affect any other customers.
Are their electricity costs high?
Could high operational power consumption costs deter potential users?
Normally certain amount of AMP is allocated per server so the price of dedicated server including the electricity cost
Does it stated additional cost for electricity on their website? the short answer is: NO
Thank you all very much for your answers.
OVH BBQ FTW
Until they have fire in the DC for too much power usage
Thank you all very much for your answers
I do believe it was profitable BBQ for their shares holders
They already included that cost to offer you the server at that price. Let's just say, even if you use 100% power all the time, there would be many other servers that only use way less than 100% power all the time.
Don't worry, that will balance off due to many idlers here. OVH won't lose for this case.
It is funny, but CPU use is not a likely fire hazard. It is "believed" that the OVH fire was from a UPS failure.
Thank you all very much for your answers.
I got mine with 1245v6 cranked up to 95-100% for a month, didn't get any emails for it
Thank you all, I've got the gist of it.
Mind to share what is your usage? Just curious
LETS cook OVH
