No problem, I can ease your burden if you just transfer some of them to me, hell you don't even have to thank me!
I mean building it takes 2 minutes, that's easy. But I'm not sure yet how stable it is long term, including auto updates
Edit: Download the binary here https://github.com/jsdelivr/globalping-probe/releases/tag/v0.41.0 but report any issues please
It's automatically pulled through the globalping API. For the LET list, I have to manually set a flag in the DB.
It's a cool concept, good luck with it.
that is a lot of servers, pretty cool.
merci monsieur bilou
Apparently its a problem to run this as non root.
Anyway, without Docker? entirely, please.
Never put all your eggs in one basket.
Single point of failure. Not that some consolidation is a bad thing.
Not possible for now
The probes need to auto-update as we release new features, we cant afford to maintain legacy code. Containers make it super easy and flexible. Plus it's easy for users to isolate the container from the system, set limits, check logs...
Zagato has more servers then jin maek?! Wtf
I'll get him once I finally deploy probes to the full Oracle and Azure networks
So when you have like several thousand books (yes, the ones that are printed on paper) and hundreds of cds (you probably don't know what that is while you are looking at your brand new shiny iPod) you should not be allowed to order any LET boxes, do you? Meanwhile, the story continues here ...
That list is actually not 100% accurate since it doesn't count for duplicates in the same ASN and city (IIRC)

Still lacking a handful of VMs & the ones that I can't run Docker in, unfortunately.
Meanwhile @zGato is considering investing into a dedicated storage server by @NetDynamics24 to finally backup his ssh server credentials and cached host keys (42TB) ...
What's the dashboard?
Also, there is/was legendary hoarder broigus ( @brueggus ) . But since he switched his hobby towards woodworking he spent all money on tools. Therefor, server count decreased by a lot.
Ummm... yes
This is just @jimaek globalping.io
I think my biggest problem is there's a lot of things I want to do with my VPS but I don't have the time due to busy work schedule, and the longer I wait the idlers become less valuable, eventually it gets into a cycle of idling. But if I decide to stop working so hard, who is going to fund those idlers...?
I have 50 hosthatch vms including (7$ x 10 locations x 2). Maybe I drop some of them like LAX Storage 10tb/250$/2years.
i have 36...
You have 50 servers with single provider in single asn? Are you mad?!
No worries. I added 3 berohost vms to collections.
Same, I removed not needed dedi's already.
I already go for yearly deals only, mostly no monthly stuff anymore.
Debated on adding a 2$/m cap, currently got 1 VPS exceeding that cap, network has been shit lately, so prob gets cut.
I'm a big fan of the low end servers and VPSes but why on earth are you lot collecting so many just to idle??? Is this an addiction thing or am I missing something - does it unlock a life level if you buy and idle X servers?
It is a coping mechanism that makes me feel like I own something. A way to compensate the things I lost in life.
how do I get one of those
