ai recommends removing systemd to increase efficiency
I am not a fan of ai. It pops up in search. When asked to clarify which services to remove from a minimal server ubuntu 24 lts it recommended ssh and systemd among other winners. When confronted it revealed the anarchy

it then apologized and explained why not to do what it suggested

It also gives delightfully errant "answers" in chemistry, physics, mathematics, theology, philosophy, history, and medicine. Fantastic.
The wrongness in chemistry is my favorite.

Given one more chance to not do evil it suggested crippling the firewall and dns.
I can't wait for all customer service to be ai!

Remove the plug from outlet to get a 100% cut on your power bill

This is the answer you were looking for:
remove the human to save 100% everything
What? Nowhere in your cropped screenshots does it suggest that you should remove systemd or ssh. The first only shows what is commonly installed.
fixed
ok, now show the prompt.
LLMs can be prompted to output almost everything if you structure your question well. They are meant to be helpful assistant that can speed things up, not replace your thinking or brain.

Just remember that you're speaking to GPT-4o ... "mini".
I assume that AI was just trying to deliver on my wildest dreams....
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Remove the french language pack it will mostly fix the problem rm -rf /
Where is the screenshot with the prompt mentioning "efficiency" ?
It is 100% off if you don't buy it.
You sure you didn't look up how to prevent Ubuntu malware?
Ai is still in its infancy, no one should just yolo follow its advice without some common sense anyway.
This honestly, same as not blindly following advice from people on any forum {think just like Linus [LTT Media, not Torvalds] uninstalled his desktop by following a guide on installing "Steam"}.
It's just a tool just like anything else and not even close to a replacement for 'human' intelligence.
-- Though I'll stress again that not every model is created equally. There's a massive difference between small and large models, and reasoning vs no-reasoning. If you're going to let your guard down in screening AI-advice, make sure you're talking to a flagship model and have reasoning effort on high. IMO, it's not even worth asking "mini" / small models on most stuff per system administration or coding.
If the AI was actually intelligent, it would have recommended removing Ubuntu.
I thought Linus was intentionally tech illiterate and his sidekicks are the technical people? I haven't watched many clips, but the few I saw it seemed like he was intentionally being stupid so that one of the other people could state the proper ways of doing something.
looks like removing head to terminate all curent and future pains...
Seems like people forget when they used to do bash scripts for services then run /etc/init.d/myservice restart ... is it that so old?

gpt-4o-mini might be against systemd and suggests that you should use OpenRC instead
