For 13 years of being in business, we never raised our rates. Even through the high inflation of recent years, we held steady. That has been something we've been proud of and have strived to preserve. Unfortunately, that long streak has to come to an end.

In our recent contract renewals with our datacenter, we were surprised with a whopping 60% price increase on the space and power we purchase. We are not passing through the full increase to our customers, but we do need to adjust our pricing to ensure we can continue to provide dependable service. The 18% increase reflects that.

As was acknowledged in the notification sent to @chnfsx, we understand that for some customers this price increase will create an unmanageable financial burden. If that is the case for you, we encourage you to reach out through our ticketing system to explore other options.

No, we have never guaranteed a price for life.

Not everyone, but many others received the same notification for you. Recent subscribers (i.e., anyone who signed up in the last 6+ months) were spared. We did not feel that it would be fair to price hike someone who just signed up. Furthermore, the special that you signed up under is in the process of being re-evaluated and will most likely be retired.

We don’t take price increases lightly, but this adjustment is necessary to keep delivering the quality you expect.

A gallon/liter of gas/petrol is more expensive now than five years ago.

Cost of housing has gone up.

Milk isn't what it cost in 2015.

    My back hurts.

    Get off my lawn.

Back in my day, two nickles bought a sodie pop and a stick of licorice.

WHMCS and cPanel want more and more every year.

    ICANN keep giving examples.

Sometimes a business needs to make adjustments, it's not reasonable or fair that they need to absorb every increase in their operating cost or never raise their staff pay just to keep service costs low.

    you know what i hate?

not the price increases. yes costs of living has gone up post covid.

    food, drugs, entertainment, property

but whats truly shitty is that our income has not risen in tandem with costs.

    fucking bullshit

so what ya ought to do, is cancel everything.

not just vps but also netflix and pornhub

stop buying free range eggs and organic wild honey

    let the economy correct itself

    reality sucks

  • Since the pandemic began, everything has been skyrocketing in price as costs escalate.

  • more like re-price hosting (sorry couldn't resist)
