@nohavps said: You remove the provider tag, but if you allow them to pay you for banners on all your websites: lowendtalk, serververify, lowendbox is crazy.

There was a banner on ServerVerify which was present up until it was removed earlier today.

How does it work in these cases? There are several providers banned from LET, but you accept their advertising and their money, like a provider who was banned because they used their COLO CLOUD database, an official advertising provider (DODOT NETWORK), to send their advertising to their clients. But today, their ads are seen in LET at 100x100, also on ServerVerify. Do you also take this into account before accepting advertising from providers, or do you only accept the money?

When a provider is banned from LET and later accepted by another website of the same owner, but you find out they did something wrong, do you refund the total advertising money or just block them? Or do you give them a prorated refund?

They denied my refund again, I even asked for it based on EU law (right to withdrawal) and they denied it aswell.

PayPal didn't even need to verify anything, they instantly refunded once I clicked submit on my complaint... But if they somehow make a counterclaim, I will easily win that based on the information I submitted.

Sanctioned hosting company comes back under different name… again…

Why they can't be here? Just because is Sanctioned doesn't mean that he can't be here.
If the service is deliver, then he can be. Why not? Even Sanctioned, people should be free to choose which provider they will use. The consequences will be in the buyer and vendor.

LET cannot legally accept money from sanctioned companies, so they would not be able to purchase a provider tag.

I mean from a moral perspective, LET should disclose when a given company is sanctioned, otherwise it would be promoting doing illegal things.

EDIT: also forgot to mention that it is generally not legal in the US for a company to promote doing illegal things. Here, LET explicitly is a forum where hosting providers can promote their wares, and LET itself has full control over who it allows to create promo threads, thus arguably LET would be promoting doing illegal things if it were to give a sanctioned company a provider tag.

No one said they can't be here. In fact, they're still here. In the same way people are free to choose which provider they want to do business with, the same principle also applies to this platform, no? Given the circumstances and information, the platform has opted to prohibit this sanctioned company from conducting business here.

They sell gigabit, yet deliver a 150Mbps capped VPS, and this is allowed to advertise on LET?
    https://www.speedtest.net/result/c/ccfc2543-d4aa-4672-ad97-7dbf00d67301

It's still not terribly bad for the country, but they're hiding behind "The speed of the common channel to each server node, the unwarranted speed of the VPS tariff.

The higher the VPS tariff, the faster the bandwidth."
They should just advertise the speed instead of gigabit...

    @jbiloh get it together...

they also not refund, be warned!!

  • Just to say that the Patron Provider tag of the OP (= @thehosting ) has been suspended until further notice

Correct, however as my service was not as described PayPal did instantly refund me.

  • Their Denmark/Copenhagen location went offline on the 13th and returned on the 25th in Amsterdam. I presume their 'unusual' locations are prone to having these issues.

    Correct.

THE.Hosting may communicate on this platform.

They are restricted from commercial activities including selling or advertising their services on this platform. This will remain the position of LowEndTalk until further notice.
