    Hi @plumberg

I would mostly recommend @onidel on their EPYC VPSes, the cheapest and most trustable one in my view.
Other than that also vpsbg.eu (expensive, but they really do marketing around having sev).
And incognet.io but I have mixed feelings on their reliability recently :/

    @oloke

Front up: I never had a VPS from them so I have no base for an opinion re. performance, neither positive nor negative.

    But

    • about €20/year with rebate isn't super cheap IMO, especially with only 1 vCore, 1 GB memory, 15 GB disk and only 1 TB traffic volume and not even an IP4.
    • "13% FUP" sounds like 8 users per vCore (not nice).
    • IPv6 might be seen as a plus by some, but no IP4 is a NO-GO for many (probably most).
    • no PayPal? (a sincere question). If true, another major minus.
    • 3 months stable, no outages or issues - nice.
    • no SEV - IMO should not be held against him, many providers do not even care or mention it.

TL;DR Maybe interesting for some, e.g. due to location, but not cheap and tasty for what one gets.
But as OP seems to be happy with his VPS, may he enjoy it! After all different users have different needs, wishes, and expectations.

I have seen a couple of your reviews too and I appreciate the work you put into throughout testing. It's great to hear your feedback on my review as well :)

about €20/year with rebate isn't super cheap IMO, especially with only 1 vCore, 1 GB memory, 15 GB disk and only 1 TB traffic volume and not even an IP4.

If I were to compare them to other "privacy friendly" providers in the market, it doesn't look as bad. Skhron offers a better value than most if not all of them. Never said it's super cheap (as in LET super cheap ;) ).

"13% FUP" sounds like 8 users per vCore (not nice).

To be fair, there is no CPU steal so I guess it works for well them.

IPv6 might be seen as a plus by some, but no IP4 is a NO-GO for many (probably most).

Yea I'm aware of your stance on IPv6.

no PayPal? (a sincere question). If true, another major minus.

Indeed, that could be an issue for some. I wonder what advantage does paypal have over stripe (or other gateways) for the customer.

Personally I always paid for skhron with crypto so can't comment on other payment methods.

no SEV - IMO should not be held against him, many providers do not even care or mention it.

Yea, that's something I personally advocate for and care about.
As I mentioned there are not a lot of providers supporting it and I'm not blaming anyone for not having it.

But as OP seems to be happy with his VPS, may he enjoy it!

    Yes, thank you! :)

    Any deals to celebrate

Wow this is fantastic but a bit out of my price range of $0 - €0 per month/year

@tentor please consider that, could've been much worse.
At least you don't have to pay beanman for using your VPS.

    Considered and dutily noted

I'd draw you a beautiful picture on paint but I think I'm still a bit traumatized from my last attempt

    Not ok at all.

  • Btw @wadhah want to try skhron? I can do you a good deal.

Sorry, but (a) at the end of the day "privacy friendly" pretty much boils down to trust (and that I have in @MannDude / incognet but not in some relatively new operation with a confusing legal situation), and (b) where you see a "good" price due to "privacy friendly" I see a relatively high and unattractive price due to no IP4 (which is a significant part of other provider's cost).

But again, you must like what you paid for, and you seem to like it.

Good to see many new privacy / speech hosts entering the market. I wish them luck.

    because i only got around 1GB RAM, gb5 and gb6 won't run on less than ~2GB :(

  • As long as the memory and swap add up to 2 GB, it’ll be fine. And since yours is single-core, the score won’t be affected much

I think it wouldn't be fair to use swap (or in my case zram-swap) for the benchmark. This could degrade performance and result in lower score if swap was heavily used.

However if you need GB6 result, I think you could ask @tentor to provide YABS from a VPS that has enough RAM to run it.
