Racknerd France and US Performance
@dustinc
https://ibb.co.com/HTyvYrG6
I wonder, does a limited traffic of 4TB a month still not enough and needs a capped bandwidth to save network usages from outage and full capacity ?
Your Velia Network in France capped 70Mbps and around that speed
Your Colocrossing US location worse than France
Does 1Gbps with limited traffic a month still not enough?
Others might not tested all the protocols and ports
But I always tested , UDP, TCP, Ports other than standards
What I found, other than standard ports, speed got capped very low
and its very far from what I supposed to have on my VPS , 1Gbps.

France location under Velia to Colocrossing Los Angeles US (60Mbps tested from 1Gbps advertised and promised)
It's a shared 1Gbps port, after 4TB used up it will be suspended temporary.
I am new customer, usage only couple GB not more than 500GB

Did you raise a ticket with their support team? What was their answer?
Hi @riomartin — I am personally familiar with your ticket, as I personally saw it come through, and the team was talking about it internally on our Slack channel. In the course of troubleshooting, we had asked you to run the standardized nws.sh test script (created by @sh97 ) which is widely recognized within the community for providing a fair and multi-regional benchmark. Unfortunately, you declined and insisted on relying solely on your own iperf server hosted elsewhere. While iperf is a valid tool, the results can vary significantly depending on the remote endpoint — including its port speed, routing, distance, and load at the time of testing.
For the record, our team is very familiar with iperf (in fact, we’ve published detailed blog content about how to use it in the past). It was disappointing to see our staff being demeaned in the ticket by suggesting otherwise, especially when they were trying to assist you in good faith. Additionally, threatening to post on LET in the ticket as leverage during the support process doesn’t change the underlying facts (we simply don’t apply caps or QoS like you’re suggesting).
We even offered to migrate your VPS to another location of ours, to help. At this point you’ve tried out two completely different upstreams of ours: ColoCrossing in Los Angeles and Velia in France. Both are unrelated providers, and we aren’t seeing similar complaints from other clients. Running a quick nws.sh test on a couple test VM’s I’ve spun up in these locations also yields satisfactory results. This suggests the limitations you observed may have been specific to the remote destinations you chose for testing, rather than a reflection of caps or shaping on our end (as none are applied).
At the end of the day, we respected your decision when you requested cancellation and issued you a full refund. We wish you the best moving forward.
@riomartin post screenshots of the ticket opened with Racknerd. Let's see what you have said in the ticket.
why not use nws.sh
i think it is very useful @sh97
Share the work order communication process for everyone to see.
At the end of the day, we respected your decision when you requested cancellation and issued you a full refund. We wish you the best moving forward.OP allready got refunded. No need to dig in it.
Here we go again
At this point I really want to know which host is performing awesome in his eyes 🤔
My Netcup still working fine with you under non standard protocol and non standard port above 2000
So everyone could get same issue like me, without having enough knowledge in networking got confusing explanation and resulting " Racknerd always AWESOME "
Yeah Go Head. I had tested, it did not.
Protocol TCP and Port 80
While I tested with YABS I could get 130Mbps
But that is multi stream tcp with each stream 70Mbps
With UDP, showing different result, lower than that.
If you want to test VPS Provider that really shape other port than Port 80 just 30Mbps
I could reference that VPS to test.
same screenshot I shared on the post.
The result I got between Netcup Nuremberg with @HostDZire Singapore node using Ports higher than 2000 as suggested.

600Mbps ++ during Singapore afternoon Busy Hours.
1Gbps advertise, I got this during busy hours, its enough for me.
That also proof, one of proofs, VPS Rootserver I rent, is not having so much issue with bandwidth or speed cap

Seems to be a high-quality user who is always fully refunded by the merchant.
Just looking for VPS Provider that is honest.
I am experienced in Networking for more than 10years+++
But lots of customers who has more than 20years++ or 30years+++ and more experienced than me,
choose to silent
Resulting new customers, asking why in the forum is different to the real experience ?
Pricing did not matter
as the matter of fact, I am still with my LosAngeles VPS since 2018
It's clear, between honest or not.
The purpose is simple, the triangle of Singapore , US, Frankfurt.
When one node becomes trouble, looking for exchanges.
That one actually fired by me.
due to the foolish wanted to fool me with the DDOS or something that inside of their server.
DDOS solution for more than 4 days ? I dont think so.
That is more than server got FIRE to me
Again, honesty they broke.
Post ticket conversation screenshot with Racknerd.
