Looking for a solid VPS in Japan

Hey guys,

I’m looking for a solid VPS in Japan with reliable uptime and strong domestic as well as international connectivity—mainly to the US and SG—for fetching data from my other servers in those regions.

My needs are pretty light:

  • 1–2 Docker containers
  • A few cron job scripts
  • 1 GB RAM is enough
  • ~1 TB bandwidth per month
  • Clean IP (important, since one script parses data with ChatGPT/Claude AI)

Budget ~$30/month. I’m not a fan of hourly billing, and I tend to avoid providers with too many locations—it feels like they don’t focus on any one site or own their hardware.

Any decent options? Thanks!

    AFAIK all veeeppps are in cloud state.

    You may not find anything solid/ liquid

    You should lower your budget considerably. With your requirements, the offers should not exceed $5/mo.
    We are not AWS.

    I put a higher budget cause I know clean IPs doesn't come cheap. I acutally already have a greencloud machine, but if I am not mistaken the whole ASN is marked as VPN, which can be bad for my AI jobs. Also looked at kuroit before, saw a few folks having negative reviews here on LET.

    Anyway thanks a lot! I might give kuroit a try if no other option comes up

    Thanks, I am not looking for 100% up time, just tired of providers saying 99.99 SLA then it's down for maintaince or something several times a month

    I can provide clean, unused APNIC IPs that work fine with major AI services, plus low-latency routes to the U.S. (GSL). Latency to Los Angeles is as low as ~98 ms. contact @aguhegao

    Cloudflare Warp is worth trying since it can be helpful when your IP isn't clean.

    aguhegao doesn't seem to be a user here, and if you were referring to the IIJ line you posted, it's probably out of my budget

    Yeah I know how to use warp on the server, though aren't all warp IPs are marked as VPN? I remember reading the openai TOS saying they do not allow VPN
