Suggest me a new VPS or server in EU

Hello,

I'm trouble with Hetzner the dedi ax41 it's often offline and not for my managed issue!
So I wanna change because I'm tired to talk everyday with assistance.

On my server there is 9 website:

  • 6 with wp
  • 1 domain with crm
  • 1 domain with scripts bought on codecanyon
  • 1 node.js application

12 database (the bigges is 70mb)

Medium traffic. When my server back online I share I screen from root from major details.
Now I use plesk with litespeed but I'm open for cpanel
Of course automatic external backup.

I prefer German or France datacenter.

Price at month 50€

Couple questions / options for you:

    • Would you consider the UK for a location, might provide more options?
    • DirectAdmin would be cheaper than cPanel/Plesk so again more options
    • Do you use LiteSpeed Open Source or the paid version?

The cheapest just for your software needs (minus hardware), you are looking at ~30 euros just for Plesk + LiteSpeed (Unlimited for above 8GB RAM) based on going direct.

Just to set expectations it could mean the actual VPS/Server is set for 20-30 euros per month.

I presume a business class shared web hosting has been tried and just not enough power for your needs.

so you need a Managed VPS/Dedicated server basically?

For unmanaged there are many options to choose a VPS/dedi where you can install Plesk and litespeed but you also need to pay for those licenses.

Plesk with 10 domains is 15.49$ (13.17 €) /month if you pay monthly
If you really want LiteSpeed with 10 domains, that would be 26$ (22 €) / month

So for the licenses alone you need to pay about 35€/ month so I think the best it would be to go with a provider who bundles this licenses in their products.
For Germany I think MyLoc/Webtopia still offers Plesk ?

  • For unmanaged,

If network is concern, then buy netcup root server. 4 dedi core should be more than enough but just to be safer side, you can take the 8 core with 16 GB RAM. Per month 15 euro without any discount (512 GB storage but if you get a deal, you can get double).

It's overkill but then again, better to be safe than sorry if it is for business.

Please @chiccorosso in all love we have for you: go for a managed vps or managed dedicated server, not a bare-metal unmanaged one.

Ok what company do you suggest me?

  • I am not an expert enough to know if a shared KVM would be enough for your needs, but, RackNerd has VPS in Strasbourg, France. The 5GB/4C variant is $54.99/year - https://www.racknerd.com/specials/

You can also directly contact the owner - @dustinc if you need something custom.

Been a customer for ~2 years. Would recommend.

  • I do not know about Italy, in Germany I'd recommend companies like Mittwald or if you practically need one for WP have a look into rocket.net or Kinsta.

From what you’ve described, it doesn’t sound like your workload is too heavy. We can suggest stable VPS options in Europe, with or without a cPanel license.
Optional: cPanel license (up to 30 accounts) – $25/month.

More details on these plans can be found at VSYS Host VPS plans
Plans come with automatic backups, snapshots, and support.
