LumaDock Paris is LIVE! Unmetered KVM VPS · NVMe · AMD EPYC - up to 25% OFF

edited September 2025 in Offers

Hello again LET!

For anyone new to us: we’re LumaDock, a European VPS platform built and operated by the team behind LifeinCloud. Since 2009 we’ve been building and running infrastructure for ourselves and for managed-services clients (as well as a B2B open-source private cloud). We own our hardware, operate our own datacenter in Bucharest, and we don’t resell, overprovision, or add setup/surprise fees. Support is 24/7, multi-lingual and fully in-house.

Paris, France VPS zone is live!

Our new Paris zone is now open for deployments. It’s hosted in a Tier III design facility and runs on AMD EPYC with fast NVMe storage and unmetered bandwidth. Great choice if your users sit in France and neighboring countries.

You can read more about the new LumaDock Paris VPS availability zone in our blog article.

With that we’re offering two promotions to the LET community. These stack with existing discounts for 6-month and 12-month cycles.

Could you please consider adding crypto payment support? I don't mind paying for a year upfront or something.
Moneyback etc also doesn't have to apply with crypto, most providers don't offer it.

Wanted to give you a try for some time now, but due to reasons I'm unable to pay with CC.

Bandwidth usage is unmetered and the speed varies depending on usage (since the port is shared) and the plans - Performance VPS plans also have increased priority.

Hi Ed, at the moment we don’t have separate HTTP/iperf endpoints published for Paris. The closest option is our general looking glass: https://lg.lumadock.com (it shows network info and routing). If you’d like to benchmark directly, best way right now is to spin up a small Paris VPS and run your own tests. We have a 30-day refund period, so you can request cancellation if you're not happy with the VM.

@jnd - hey, from a customer perspective I fully agree with you with the SOON™ abuse  I know my colleagues have been working on implementing and testing IPv6 but didn't want to put extra pressure on them since they already have an internal deadline. So that's why I said "very soon". It should be done by the end of next week. With things like crypto payment, I was also transparent saying we don't have any plans to implement it. I don't like giving people false hope

I don't like giving people false hope

That's a good take, I'll order one then. Also looking forward to your Madrid location, that one looks interesting.

Thank you, jnd. Yes, we're excited about it too - many of our Latin American customers would actually prefer Madrid over the other ones. And unlike Amsterdam who has put the brakes on data centers, Madrid is getting massive investments especially from hyperscalers and their DC capacity is expected to reach 1 GW by 2030 (that's 7x more than it had last year).

Plus, it would give me another reason to visit that beautiful city again haha. But while we want to get zones out faster, we don't want to rush it. Technically it's not really a challenge for our team - it's more about having the right partners, testing reliability & performance, and making sure the logistics are in place for a high quality launch. Our users want a "boring" VPS that works as expected every time, without the emotional carousel

I hope not only the next promo but these plans will get IPv6 too. And by soon I expect by the end of this year at least? Everyone is promising it soon and then half a year later nothing changed.

I do like boring VPS as I'm sure you like boring customers who never need to open a ticket :)

  • anyone with Paris AMD EPYC yabs? I need it first to check before ordering..

Kudos for clearly mentioning the processor for each location.
BUT: connectivity doesn't look tasty at all, sorry (and that with yabs/iperf which provides marketing rainbow numbers ...).

Thank you - we aim to please as many people as possible, but pleasing everyone is impossible. As for the yabs - in the test I posted for Paris, we just deployed a VM there as a customer... no special treatment. So you should get similar results. But if yabs doesn't test the parameters you want, please test yourself with your specific benchmark or app - and if you're not happy with it, we will refund the VPS within 30 days.

Hi Jason! As I was saying, the Yabs I posted is what the average user should get. We don't want to post fake benchmarks because that gives our users the wrong expectations (aside from being immoral). People deploy their production stacks on our servers, so we got a responsability to be clear with numbers, otherwise it might hurt their business. Better to keep it honest, even if not always shiny.

In my opinion, we have great performance and customer service for the price, but I am aware we could always do better ... still, that doesn't mean we should use "hopeful" metrics as facts.

You can see the Yabs here:

  • Very good customer support, bought VPS for 1.49$/month, had some issues with server downtime, problem resolved in chat in maybe 5 minutes at most. Strongly recommend for this price. Speed of internet based on Speedtest.net for me is around 250-500 mbits/s. Thanks!

Some countries citizens are not allowed to have any card except crypto. Adding crypto will help u gain more customers and help out some people :))
