Cheap dedicated server better than KS-5
Hey guys, I'm about to buy a Kimsufi server but I'm wondering if anyone has got a better dedi server deal
. I'll paste the specifications of the ovh dedi so it's easier to compare quickly:
- Processor: Intel Xeon E3-1270 v6 (4 cores/8 threads, 3.8GHz base, 4.2GHz turbo)
- Memory: 64GB DDR4 ECC
- Storage: Choice of 2x 450GB NVMe SSDs or 2x 2TB SATA HDDs (I prefer the SSDs)
- Bandwidth: 500Mbit/s unmetered
- Protection: Includes anti-DDoS protection
- Price: $28.80/month
- Location: Prefer NA, but if it's a good deal I'm open for any location.
Not necessarily searching for something that covers all the same bases of course! E.g. the anti-DDoS protection. I'm more inclined towards a comparable or better hardware (RAM>CPU) with a good bandwidth quota, but I doubt at this price range I'm getting unmetered.

Or if anyone has any offers for a cheap VDS I'm also happy to hear! I'd love a good VDS for running some numerical simulations.
can give you following for 25$ / Month
Server Intel Xeon E3-1270v3
1TB
1Gbps Unmetered
Location: USA Utah.
let me know if interested. this isn't live on the page so have to customise an existing one.
If fine with canada check servarica vds offerings.
I've been hunting on getting a servarica vds for like half a year already but they're sold out
How much ram? Will wait a little more to see if anyone else has anything to offer but it looks pretty good
I dont think you will find better deal.
Only better server you could get is KS-Mystery
Or KS-LE-B/E.
Yep, just what I was thinking, still hopeful to see if someone else has anything else to offer
you're only considering total price for hardware instead of value per dollar. for example, reliablesite's recent sale could've given you E-v6, 64gb ram with 2x2TB ssd for $45. more expensive price-wise but a better deal and cheaper IMO because reliablesite has a vastly more superior network than OVH in NA, plus it's 1gbit unmetered and 4x storage for some $15 price difference.
I didn't know how to correctly phrase it, but what you're describing is a much better idea of what I'm looking for. I think I could go upwards to like $50 for a really good value per dollar... Will be on the lookout, since ServaRica is getting new stock this month afaik.
