Brazil, Middle East and Australia VPS request.

MannDudeMannDude Patron Provider, Veteran

Looking for a VPS in the locations mentioned in the title.

Don't need much traffic, just being used as website mirrors in regions where I don't already have servers. Most traffic will be localized to the region nearby, with the only long haul international traffic being from the master server pushing synced updates to these mirror servers.

Specs:

KVM virtualization
512MB RAM minimum
1 vCPU core (modern CPU)
20GB disk is okay (NVMe preferred, for static caching)
1 IPv4, IPv6 not required
500GB-1TB BW is more than enough.

Looking for providers with exceptional connectivity in these local regions.

Brazil, I wanted great connectivity to South America. Miami isn't good enough for this

Middle East, don't really care too much about location. Ideally okay connectivity to be India as well, though I may eventually add an Indian POP.

Australia... Was hoping to use @HostHatch for this but they're out of stock. They're used for Los Angeles, Zurich, Singapore and Hong Kong, however.

$10/mo or less per server. Willing to pay more than low end budgets for better networks with great peering and connectivity to local and regional ISPs.

It seems that Kamatera has VPS in Australia: 1 vCPU core, 1 GB RAM, 20 GB NVMe, and 1 TB traffic. The price is $4/month, but I’m not sure about the CPU they provide.

    edit:based on Intel’s latest Xeon Platinum/Cascade Lake, 2.7GHz+ processors.

Melbicom for Fujirah (don't get me on spelling) in UAE, maybe also G:core if they still have basic VMs in Dubai (the Basic VMs seem to be gone from website promotion areas, don't know if you can still order them in the panel).

Kamatera or Vultr for Israel (Middle East)

Vultr in Brazil is more expensive than their normal lineup, but the one in Chile is the same price than the normal lineup iirc.

Zappiehost for New Zealand, South Africa and Chile as well.

Flow VPS in Australia (or Vultr or Hosthatch, but you said the latter is oos).

    Upcloud also has Australica iirc.

  • Btw Vultr would be a great choice if you want to do anycast. But this would mean Vultr only which you probably don't want.

I used them before with like 20 POPs. The anycast routing is poor. Some Canadian traffic going to India, some LA traffic being served by Miami, etc. was wonky.

Besides, most their POPs are just Cogent or HE. I've not seen anything particularly local.

Using BunnyDNS latency based smart routing is much better, so far.

The setup isn't final but if you ping theispco.com you'll see it should be served by a nearby POP.

  • @OwnTN has Uruguay with great routing to nearby countries. https://atlas.ripe.net/measurements/126326719

They also got Kazakhstan if you're interested (but most traffic will most likely hit Moscow first so it's not great outside the country). https://atlas.ripe.net/measurements/126326597

For Australia, HostHatch is most likely one of the best choices since they got GSL in their mix, and it's awesome. There's also https://binarylane.com.au which has also been great for me and have a bunch of locations inside Australia.

Considering you have @HostDZire here, getting a PoP in India shouldn't be hard ;)

For ME, I have Israel from @antonpa and https://www.smartape.ru/vps, both have been pretty much flawless, but I cannot vouch if their networks are considered premium. They're fine for my needs, though.
@antonpa also has UAE (Fujairah) (Melbicom reseller)
LightNode has a bunch of locations, but their network is usually poor within the region.

And if you ever want Africa, you can get good PoPs there from @MAXKO_Hosting (Johannesburg, ZA), @Rackzar (Johannesburg & Cape Town in ZA), @HostDoc (Lagos, NG)

Good luck and if you need additional measurements, I can send you some Atlas credits :)

Thank you for testing this so we don't have to.

For the Middle East, the lowest latency is in Italy or Zurich. Israel IPs are often monitored or blocked, and Dubai/UAE connectivity is also poor.
Recommended options: Zurich (HostHatch) or Italy (Edis Global).

This here is a prefix from their Sao Paulo VPS, this is a bit better than just Co&HE:

  • Melbicom @NexOasis if you need it to be in ME.

    @BinaryLane and @QuantumCore for AU

Can vouch for HostDzire - they are upstreamed by TATA and Airtel, which are the upstreams for 99% ISPs in India. Airtel also has great connectivity towards Middle East sites like UAE, Oman etc. Its also good towards South East Asia.

Melbicom Fujairah (UAE) is upstreamed by Etisalat, and Etisalat is a major player in Middle and Africa, so connectivity in that region should be great as well (not tested)

For AU, you can consider @trewq / FlowVPS. AFAIK they are upstreamed by Host Universal and they're pretty good. @ShockHosting is also an option.

For SA like zGato mentioned, ownTN has a great blend in Uruguay.

    Thanks everyone.

    I'm seeing improvements: https://atlas.ripe.net/measurements/126352627

I did spin up a bunch of Vultr boxes, most are just temporary. I'll test them against some of the recommendations made here and swap them out should they measure better.

India seems to be difficult. I tested all three Vultr locations and chose the one that seemed 'best' between them, but will likely be the first one I replace with a better solution soon. Big country though and hard to serve well it seems.

May drop Hong Kong (already have Singapore) and replace with South Korea or Japan. Seems most SEA traffic goes to Signapore anyway.

    Thanked by 1loay
  • Hong Kong in general is well served by Singapore.

I would rather choose Japan, e.g. Hosthatch or Shockhosting.

    Hi,

Yes, as others mentioned, Melbicom offers VPS in Fujairah:

    CPU 1 core
    RAM 2GB
    Storage 20GB
Bandwidth up to 1 Gbps, monthly quota 2TB
    Monthly price is €5,70

You can take a look here: https://www.melbicom.net/virtualserver/?utm_id=2025_BSTForum100

  • For Australia take a look at @onidel

I did a search and look through about 30 different names of ones that do offer what your looking for. Only name I saw I know and recognize was JustHost. Can ask for Anton.

We can provide the following in SYD Australia:

    2 core
    2gb ram
    20gb storage
    2tb Bandwidth

    $5/month: https://smcvps.com/syd

  • AWS Lightsail for Australia (Sydney), their Mumbai location also has good latency to parts of the Middle East as well.

  • I have a Hosthatch with 3c/6g in Sydney that I'm not really using, if you want it I'm sure we can work something out. Some kind of special, I think it's $66/3y or something like that.

Thank you for your trust. Sydney is back in stock. We're aggressively shipping out new hardware to all locations so nothing should remain out of stock for more than a few days.

He's better off waiting for HostHatch stock to come available honestly. Most people probably can't come near their pricing in Asia.

    Hello @MannDude
We can help with part of your requirements. While we don’t currently have Brazil covered, we do have strong options in the regions you mentioned:

Sydney, Australia – perfect fit for your Australia POP.

Hyderabad, India – since you noted the Middle East location isn’t critical and good India connectivity works, this can serve your Middle East/India POP.

Singapore – also available if you’d like to extend coverage into Southeast Asia.

You can check our VPS Hosting plans from here, and let me know if you have any questions.

  • vsys_hostvsys_host Member, Patron Provider

We don’t have Brazil, Middle East or Australia at the moment.
But if you’re open to Asia, we can offer Singapore.

    Specs example here:

    1 vCPU
    1 GB RAM
    20 GB NVMe SSD
    2 TB bandwidth/month
    DDoS protection, 24/7 support
    Crypto payments accepted
    No KYC required

    $48/year ( or $5/mo)

If later you also need Europe/US, we can provide the Netherlands, Ukraine and Seattle as well.
