Lowspec high-storage Dedi in EU

Hi there,

I need a low spec server with quite some storage space in EU (legally in EU, so UK is a no-go).

Something like:
4C 8T 2.5GHz+
8-16 GB RAM
4x 10 TB HDD (at least 7.2k RPM) SAS/SATA
1G with 20-30 TB/mo is more than enough. Would be awesome to have 2G+ just to speed up transfer times.
At least 2 IPv4

This would be used mostly for archiving purposes and must have IPMI access (ideally behind a tunnel).

Can pay 6mo or 1y upfront, so DM me with those two billing schemes.

Thanks a lot!

Wouldn't that mean that you will need a European company as well for compliance? E.g. no non-EU company using a European DC?

Nope. As long as the service is provided locally in EU, any foreign company must adhere to EU regulations.

Had really unpleasant experiences with Hetzner. I wouldn't trust them with my data anymore. Even if they paid me.

Bu e.g. if it is a US company, it must adhere to the cloud act as well which would result in not adhering to EU regulations...

Afaik, if two countries have opposite requirements, the one where the service is physically located prevails.
However, this does not mean I would ever consider a magnate South African "company" just because they have servers in Romania (EU). Nor any direct partners of them. :)

Ultimately, I chose who I can trust with my data, after I review all the offers.

Not with the cloud act. That is the big problem between EU and US.

Well... this is Microsoft afterall. They don't really need a law to screw your data.
Another interesting example is Apple, who refused to de-encrypt data for FBI in some criminal case they had.

But the underlining legal problem applies to all, not just Microsoft, e.g. AWS with their "European cloud" idea, etc.
