German Dedi / VPS with DTAG upstream
Hi,
I'm looking for a VPS or better a small dedicated server.
The Upstream should be directly peering with DTAG, without having to route over other Tier1 providers.
VZ Type: KVM with bring your own ISO
Number of Cores: 2-4
RAM: 2GB
Disk Space: 30+GB
Bandwidth: >3TB (should be enough)
Port Speed: 1Gbps (Guaranteed 250Mbits)
Nbr. of IPv4 IPs: 1
optional a IPv6 \64 would be nice.
Location: near Frankfurt, Germany; DTAG upstream
Budget: up to 25€/month
Please don't propose: Hetzner, OVH, servdiscount, webtropia, ...

maybe @dataforest?
Would you check us out - https://lgde.alphavps.com . This is not direct, but via Core-Backbone. DTAG direct is PITA.
Our Cogent uplink would provide direct access to DTAG. All servers are located in The Netherlands. Both a VPS and a small dedicated server would be possible. DM me to work out the details

Looking at their lg and test IP, had DTAG direct. Can't vouch, just remembered from checking their lg because Dtag transit is $$$ and less common.
... yeah no.
How much is private dtag peering these days anyway?
good one
w/ 10 kb/s ? We are talking DTAG here....
lol
As for OP request: UltraVPS.eu
as for actual suggestions, @dataforest will probably be the best for this, @gigahost is also decent at reaching DTAG from what I remember.
and (even if I don't like to recommend them): https://bgp.tools/as/8560
Would highly recommend Dataforest
Nope, actual good speeds. Trails are possible.
Cogent <-> DTAG capacity is and was always an issue, it's well known they're having insufficient PNI capacity. PS: We're just receiving quite some Cogent capacity, I wouldnt mind to send traffic towards DTAG over these
Thanks for the mention. We don't peer directly, but we do exchange upwards of 10Gbps with DTAG at times and we have received no complains about it. Feel free to test
