NeoProtect Filters GameServer!
in Help
I am hosting a Counter-Strike 1.6 (GoldSrc) game server. On NeoProtect I noticed some default profile presets for games, but CS 1.6 is not listed. I applied the "Source Engine / A2S" preset, but the server is still not visible in the Steam server browser, GameTracker, or even when added to the client’s favorites list.
Players are only able to join by using the console command:
connect "IP x.x.x.x"
Could you please advise me on the correct profile or configuration to make the server fully visible in the Steam browser and third-party trackers?

Thank you,

I think you mixed something up.
The NeoProtect ticket system is on a different URL.
All jokes aside, it's probably the easiest way to just ask them directly.
Yes, I did. They said:
to use 'Source Engine,' which also supports GoldSrc, but I’m still getting this issue. So I came here in case someone else has faced the same problem..
I have never used Neoprotect before. Do they not have a "goldsrc" filter, or is there only "Source Engine"?
@brainohyeah Hmm, then it should work by the Source Engine / A2S.
Port 27015 UDP → "Source Engine / A2S" is set to FILTER, with default action DROP.My game server does not appear in the Steam master list or on GameTracker.
Players can only connect by using the console command: connect IP.xxx
Question: Is it normal to set the default action to FILTER?
From what I understand, the safest setup is to only open the ports I need, add filters for them, and drop everything else (please correct me if I’m wrong).
Also, what’s the purpose of adding rules if the default action is FILTER instead of DROP?
