My experience with Lyratris — Ryzen 9950X advertised, QEMU delivered, instant termination
I’d like to share my recent experience with Lyratris Limited, since they’ve been quite active promoting on LET.
I ordered a VPS advertised as Ryzen 9 7950X3D / 9950X.
After migrations, my VM reported QEMU Virtual CPU 2.5+, not the advertised Ryzen. Performance dropped noticeably.
When I opened a ticket about this, instead of a clear fix, I got explanations that “it’s just a leftover flag” and “benchmarks are within margin of error.”
Outages happened multiple times (tickets #GQF-285320, #WUB-160295, #FXK-391037). Nodes were freezing, reboots didn’t work, tickets took hours.
Finally, I accidentally hit Immediate Cancellation (my mistake), but the system immediately deleted the VM — no double confirmation, no grace period. Tickets were closed, refund denied.
On Trustpilot they publicly claim they “upgraded me to 9950X for free,” but in reality my server was gone within 30 minutes of cancellation.
I don’t call every provider a scam, but this pattern — QEMU exposure instead of Ryzen, instability, poor comms, and instant wipe without grace — is enough for me to say: I cannot recommend Lyratris.
If anyone is considering them, be aware.

How much was it?
Do you know what QEMU is
From what I’m aware, a lot of providers do this, for example, pretty much all cloud providers will.
Worse than Intel i3.
For those asking for proof — here are direct ticket logs (copy-pasted from client area & email):
Ticket #UQL-295440 - Downgrade to QEMU CPU — request explanation
05.07.2025 (18:12) – I reported QEMU CPU instead of Ryzen 9 7950X3D
Reply from Alyx (06.07.2025):
Later, in August, my VM still showed QEMU Virtual CPU (2.5+).
Tickets #GQF-285320, #WUB-160295, #FXK-391037 — “server not working / power status unknown” — all closed after outages.
Then after I accidentally hit Immediate Cancellation, VM was deleted instantly. No grace period, no double confirm, no refund.
Meanwhile, on Trustpilot they reply to my review with:
Reality: VM gone, no server, no refund.
Follow-up with more details (ticket logs & quotes):
For those asking for proof — here are excerpts from my actual tickets and replies:
UQL-295440 (05.07.2025) – I reported QEMU CPU instead of Ryzen 7950X3D:
“current server instance is running with a fully virtualized QEMU CPU (QEMU Virtual CPU version 2.5+)... compression dropped ~19%, decompression ~27%.”
Alyx reply (06.07.2025):
“The CPU configuration accidentally changed during migration. You might need to shutdown/start again for the change to apply.”
FXK-391037 (25.06.2025) – “Power Status: Unknown”.
Konstantin reply:
“Host system randomly freezes, maybe faulty CPU/memory. We began evacuating nodes.”
WUB-160295 (24.06.2025) – panel reboot not working, node was dead.
And at the same time, I was still trying to stay positive:
“Despite the numerous issues I’ve encountered, I just want to say — I understand you. I’d like to continue using this VPS long-term.” (Ticket #UQL-295440, 06.07.2025)
So no, I wasn’t just “complaining” — I actually wanted to continue with them.
Finally, yes — I accidentally hit Immediate Cancellation. But a serious host would:
ask for double confirmation,
give a grace period,
or at least not close all tickets & block the panel immediately.
Meanwhile, on Trustpilot they publicly replied: “we upgraded you to 9950X for free.”
Reality: my VM showed QEMU CPU, tickets were closed unresolved, and my server was wiped within 30 minutes.
👉 Advertising Ryzen 9 9950X, exposing QEMU, multiple outages, and instant wipe on cancel = not trustworthy.
I mean did you stop/start the server from the panel (not reboot in ssh) to make sure it didn't update?
I can't believe I need to spend even more time on this.
Yes, we have had reliability issues in the past due to hardware failures. That is true, and we are actively working to improve this. Affected customers, including you, received an SLA credit for these issues.
Regarding this matter:
You opened a ticket without explaining your issue. 30 minutes later, you immediately cancelled your service and posted a negative review. Then you opened another ticket questioning why the service you cancelled immediately was actually immediately cancelled and requested a free VPS.
I have explained the situation and offered you a refund three times. I also offered to restore your cancelled server from a backup, which you declined, stating that you don't care about money or the data on the server.
After I told you that I was not interested in continuing this, you began opening tickets with just Russian insults
@Emptty0 can't you chargeback? I mean i really don't like doing it but in this case just do chargeback!
i mean there will be UPDATE that something Changed?? or not?

ну и все что ты хочшешь доказать ущерб)
What did you think will happen if you press a big red button that says "DETONATE THE BIG BOMB" in very big letters?
Obviously it wouldn't detonate until he REALLY wants it to detonate which he didn't!
Mind controlled bomb detonator!
But it is funny that he replies to the accusation of opening tickets with russian insults with a russian insult
Okay but what would happen if you then call the bomb a, and I quote, "foreign condom", and tell it to "suck dick"?
Writing in Russian pretending you are the only personae in the world to understand it is kinda very old fashion (and not very intelligent) logic. It does not really help OP to solve the problem, it destroys relationship and works again OP but well...here we are.
No no no sir it was an accident and it wasn't actually him, its photoshop! That's obvious, too much deepfakes in AI era
Remember the article I sent?
Read thread, open client account, login to ssh, all fine. Love Alyx.
Crashout in 3 separated tickets is crazy work.
sounds like op had some issues but seems like host tried to do right, i don't see any scam? sometimes a client and host just don't work, best to part ways and minimize grief.
won't comment on the instant cancellation.
I’ve had multiple stability issues with this provider.
There is no clear SLA, no proper backup policy, and no anti-DDoS details provided.
We’ve experienced unexpected migrations and downtime during night hours without prior notice.
Support responses were generally along the lines of “configuration issue” after incidents.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this provider based on my experience.
