Small VPS with IPv6 in Bulgaria, Albania or Canada
I’m looking for a VPS to run a personal WireGuard instance with these specs:
- KVM, 1 vCore, 1 GB RAM
- 2+ TB outbound bandwidth per month @ 1+ Gbps
- Bulgaria, Albania or Canada (Montreal or Toronto)
- One IPv4 and at least one IPv6 address
Budget is $15-20/year.
Was hoping to get one from AlphaVPS / @AlexBarakov in Sofia, Bulgaria as it worked well for me in the past but they don’t have any sale going on unfortunately.

Comments
@avsisp for Albania 🇦🇱
Thanks for the heads-up, they only have 100 Mbps though which I guess doesn’t come as a surprise given the location.
We don't have only 100Mb/s ... we do up to 500Mb/s now...
You can see on the order form:
https://www.avsisp.com/store/albania-vps/build-your-own
Under port speed you can choose 100Mb, 250Mb, or 500Mb.
All are fully unmetered. 2TB/mo is very low.
vpsag.com @BelCloud would be the best choice in Bulgaria.
And Canada lunanode.com @LunaNode
@AlexBarakov is great for BG.
500 Mbps would probably be enough but with the extra RAM (512 MB -> 1 GB) it costs 10200 LEK which after applying the
RAINDOG50coupon comes out to 5400 LEK / 56 EUR which is way above my budget unfortunately. Thanks, I’ll have a look at these two. I got a VPS from RackNerd in Toronto but it turns out that they don’t have IPv6 at that location.
Yup, I wish he could chime in with an offer :P
Maybe can check out HostDare @hostdare, they've got Bulgaria location.
@miniopt Order BGSSD0 and DM me with order number to get upgraded to 1 GB RAM - https://bill.hostdare.com/store/bg-ssd-kvm , coupon code: BG20OFF on yearly billing.
Or open ticket for custom quote
.
In Canada, there's Racknerd, and it has good prices
Albania has Albahost, and maybe they can help you
Fair enough. Good luck and take care.
Thanks for your interest and we hope you find what you need here. There are many good hosts here that can help. You really can't go wrong.
Albahost is not Albania - it is Germany with Albania "GeoIP" aka faked location in Geofeed. If it's latency and all sensitive, that's a bad idea because Albania is 50ms from Germany on an average day.
I use tunnelbroker.net tunnels on my racknode units, not sure how well that would work for your usage but in case you hadn't thought of it.
host.al for albania
Yeah they arent located in albania.
ping from an albanian datacenter to an vps from albahost
PING 91.239.7.2 (91.239.7.2) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 91.239.7.2: icmp_seq=1 ttl=57 time=43.7 ms
64 bytes from 91.239.7.2: icmp_seq=2 ttl=57 time=43.5 ms
64 bytes from 91.239.7.2: icmp_seq=3 ttl=57 time=43.7 ms
host.al is indeed physically inside of Albania and are pretty decent. Their transit options aren't the best yet - but I know the owner personally and know they are working on it all the time. For example recently they got Cogent over a cross connect to Italy - about 30ms average to Italy and then onward from there now. If you want land routes (low ping to local ISPs inside Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, stuff like that) we have land routes.
It really depends what you are looking for with who to choose. But for Albania - REALLY ALBANIA - there is only us and Host.al as far as I know - and both of try to ensure quality as much as we can in this environment (Albania not being well suited to hosting).
Would be great if you could set up a probe for https://globalping.io, since there arent that many hosters in albania
Actually got an email from you guys this morning
Was going to reply this afternoon - but since you guys are on here - message me by PM and let's get that going
Already set up!
Oh didn't know you already had one up lol
We can setup a sponsored one also if they want? So that you aren't paying to run it mate.
Btw - interesting results (to local Albanian ISPs):
To Tele.co AL: https://globalping.io?measurement=Eq07IYLreJMmomfM
To Vodafone: https://globalping.io?measurement=56hfupNbVgx7mX8S
Too lazy to go find pingable IPs in other ISP ranges... but wow. Seems like we are lowest on everything in Albania
If only we can get it even LOWER
I guess it would not hurt but I will keep mine anyway. We are kinda competing here for the amount of globaping nodes
If you send me a PM, I can set you up tomorrow with your needed specs for the 20 flat without issues as one-time offer just to help you out mate. I would do it tonight, but just going off to bed right now. I can get you a custom invoice and package setup for that without issues. - if you're still looking that is.
Hi,
Melbicom offers a VPS in Sofia with 1Gpbs and 5TB bandwidth, which seems to be more in line with your requirements.
The price is however higher for that: 3.90€ monthly, but should you be interested:

Would you mind sponsoring public NTP server for ntppool.org? It needs only minimal hardware resources and good conectivity within the country is what matters there.
Thanks for the sponsored vps @avsisp
We already run personally the only NTP pool server in Albania... so no need to have someone else run that. It's ran directly by us...
Great to see!
@avsisp maybe you should tell people the truth about your Albania location which is London tunneling and stop lying around that you have an albanian location! You are doing exactly the same Aeza did if not, then explain to me this, since i have a server with one.al ex. albtelecom and the ping ms reply is over 50ms:
https://imgur.com/a/JAzh1K2
64 bytes from 23.133.204.6: icmp_seq=0 ttl=46 time=68.872 ms64 bytes from 23.133.204.6: icmp_seq=1 ttl=46 time=49.686 ms64 bytes from 23.133.204.6: icmp_seq=2 ttl=46 time=57.573 ms64 bytes from 23.133.204.6: icmp_seq=3 ttl=46 time=50.078 ms64 bytes from 23.133.204.6: icmp_seq=4 ttl=46 time=48.691 ms64 bytes from 23.133.204.6: icmp_seq=5 ttl=46 time=49.461 ms64 bytes from 23.133.204.6: icmp_seq=6 ttl=46 time=50.416 ms64 bytes from 23.133.204.6: icmp_seq=7 ttl=46 time=50.055 msFrom the traceroute you are somehow through Telekom/Beotel a Serbian ISP but if you do traceroute and ping from Serbia you will still get over 50ms ping reply.
As such, i will tag @FAT32 @DP to check this as because lying and or manipulating with the community members is not allowed and considered a scam!
When we are under constant DDoS, it goes over London because of DDoS Protection on huge pipes and XDP in London. Otherwise, it goes over a link to Serbia with about 8ms to cloudflare and really low pings to all of Albania. Not sure what you are on about - but you tested that DURING A DDOS.
Are you serious? Do you really believe with your little brain that we buy your lies?! Even your Finland location it seems to be the same, fake Finland and tunnel to London, is that under attack too? From your screenshot of globalping.io you can clearly see the difference on ms ping was that under DDoS attack too?!
We don't have a finland location - what are you talking about?
We have LONDON and ALBANIA - that's it.
I'm not sure where this whole attacking attitude came from - but we have several clients that can confirm we are indeed in Albania. Some even using NAT outbound over Local Alabnian ISPs like Vodafone Albania and Tele.co for some stuff that doesn't like our IPs for Geoblocks (because things like Netflix haven't updated it after asking 1000 times them to fix).
We do have to tunnel in upstreams from other countries nearby - either via XC or tunnels - that is a KNOWN ISSUE with Albania. There aren't any Tier 1s here except Cogent which is only available if you pay the ATU extortion or HE over IXP in ANIX. We never have hid or lied about this fact. We even wrote a whole post about it that was expanded out here about how hard it is to be a host in Albania due to this. Most ISPs won't do BGP sessions and there just isn't a lot of choices here for this. Serbia is 6-8ms from us and is our MAIN upstream when everything is working properly.
There is no DDoS protection on Serbian link or others, so there is no way for us to protect ourselves except under a DDoS to tunnel it in from our London node that has XDP and huge pipes for filtering. THIS IS A COMMON PRACTICE. Most DDoS protection services do this exactly - under a DDoS they anycast or announce it from multiple locations with XDP filters and so on (scrubbers) which adds latency but keeps it online and clean.
