Affordable Singapore VPS for Rocky Linux+SPanel

nishadroxnishadrox Member
edited July 2025 in Requests

I'm a beginner web freelancer and am looking for an affordable and reliable VPS provider with Singapore data center for designing and hosting for my clients.
I will be providing websites and webmail to clients (with SMTP/IMAP), maybe provide separate hosting packages later on.

Catering to Sri Lankan clients at first for the forseeable future, with the hope of expanding. Other regions with the same provider is nice to have, but not compulsory. I can go with another provider if needed when that time comes (hopefully).

Rocky Linux is compulsory since SPanel seems to support it. Firewall, anti-DDoS, other security features etc are preferred.
Should have very good bandwidth/network speed. Should be extremely reliable, with adequate support as SPanel will have managed services by their team.

Price range <$15 in the beginning but should be able to add more resources or upgrade plans easily when I actually get clients. Looking for the best price to performance ratio.

Trying to get the best bang for the buck.
Promo/sale prices are more than welcome!

Thanks!

Any idea how much memory and storage you need? I have service with Datapacket in Singapore, and use SPanel myself for web hosting, so I'm familiar with it as well.

Thanks for the link! Can you vouch for Onidel and HostDzire?
Which one is beginner friendly and has good support and price to performance ratio? Do they align witih my requirements?
    And what is RSK?

Nice to know! TBH I don't have any figures since I'm still beginning. That's why I'm trying to keep things beginner freindly with good security and other features along with management by SPanel team. But low resources first and then upgrading later on.

My experience with HostDZire support has been good, but I don't trying using AI

HostDZire is reselling Leaseweb, so you can research them as far as network and reliability goes. Here is Looking Glass. Generally it's hard to beat their network without paying a lot more

I'm not sure what you mean by "beginner friendly". If you've ever used a VPS then any of these providers should be simple

The thing is I haven't  I'm going to be relying on Spanel team for the most part.
Does HostDzire have a management dashboard kind of deal? or the parent company Leaseweb?
Do you know how Onidel is?

We're in Johor, a short distance from Singapore: https://advinservers.com/cloud
Our network is backhauled through Singapore.

    KVM Standard M
    AMD EPYC Milan (8 vCPU)
    16GB DDR4 ECC Memory
    128GB NVMe SSD Storage
    4TB Bandwidth (10 Gbps)
Daily Backups (5 day retention, opt-in)
    $16/month

We also have other options, including EPYC Genoa and Ryzen 9950X, but they're currently out of stock in Johor.

    Per your post:

    • As long as you can provide justification, we can open Port 25 to send outbound mail.
    • We include 10 Gbps as standard across all of our locations.
    • We offer advanced anti-DDoS for +$4 per IP per month, and we have a firewall in our control panel where you can modify firewall rules.
    • A ticket is generally required for upgrading, unfortunately. This might be a drawback for your use case.
