Seeking a VPS/KVM or a dedicated server located in either the United States or Asia
I am writing to inquire about a KVM VPS or a cost-effective dedicated server. My primary use will be hosting multiple Docker Compose containers for my website and various self-hosted applications.
I have outlined my minimum requirements below:
- CPU: 4+ Cores (AMD or Intel)
- At least 8 GB of RAM
- A minimum of 80 GB, with a strong preference for SSD performance. But, an HDD is okay too.
- A data center within the United States or any major Asian hub.
- A single, dedicated IPv4 address is essential. IPv6 and basic DDoS protection are highly desirable extras.
My target budget is under $20 per month. I would prefer to be billed annually if it provides better value, but I am also open to a monthly plan.
Could you please let me know if you have any available packages that would be a good fit for my use case and budget?
Thank you!

Thanks for the offer, it looks good!
I had a couple of quick questions. First, I was wondering about data safety, are there backups or RAID included? And is there any DDoS protection?
My other question is about your VPS tiers. To get the best performance for running Docker containers with an Nginx reverse proxy, would you recommend the Standard, Premium, or Extreme plan? I'm just trying to figure out which one would be the best fit.
Thank you for the offer, it looks great! I was just wondering, what options are included for data backups or protection in case of any issues?
"Wow, thank you so much for this offer—it looks fantastic!
I'm really happy to see that it includes a 6-core AMD processor; that's perfect for my needs. The discount you've included is also very much appreciated!
I just have one main question regarding the SSD storage. Could you tell me a bit about your data protection measures? I'm curious if a RAID configuration is used, or what the general procedure is in the event of a drive failure.
Thanks again for putting together such a compelling offer!
Thank you for sending over the offer! It looks like a really solid starting point.
To make sure it fits my needs perfectly, I have a couple of questions about potential adjustments.
My other question is about data safety. Could you please let me know what measures are in place, like RAID or automated backups, to handle a potential drive failure?
I appreciate your help in clarifying these points. Thanks!
Hello,
All reputable companies here use a mirrored raid to prevent loss in a drive failure incident. If your data is important you should maintain your own backups and not rely on any hosts backup service, it’s trivial to setup a script to do it for you, many would probably help. The data needs to be in your own hands if it’s of any importance.
Hello,
We offer automatic backups as a paid add-on ($0.01 per GB per month), but you can also use our API to automate snapshots for your VM at your own schedule. Additionally, backups and snapshots can be downloaded for local storage, giving you full control over your data.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!
It's fantastic that backups are included that definitely provides great peace of mind. While DDoS protection isn't my top priority right now, I appreciate you letting me know about that option.
To make sure I'm exploring all possibilities before making a decision, I was wondering if you also have any dedicated server options available? If so, I'd be very interested to see how they compare.
That's a great point, having redundant backups is definitely a smart practice.
I was even thinking of experimenting with a script to upload backups to my own cloud storage. However, a built-in feature that creates a complete mirror or image of the entire drive would be incredibly convenient and my preferred option. Is a full image backup something you offer?
On that note, to make sure I'm looking at all possibilities, do you also offer dedicated servers? I'd be interested to learn more about those options as well.
This is an amazing offer, thank you for putting it together!
While 8GB of RAM is good, I think my apps might benefit from a bit more power. To help me find the 'sweet spot' in your offerings, could you let me know if there's an existing plan that bumps up all the specs? I'm particularly interested in more CPU cores, increased storage, and potentially 16GB of RAM or more.
Absolutely! I forgot to mention, our control panel lets you fully customise your VM specs, so you're not limited to fixed plans. Simply choose the configuration that best fits your needs
We utilize either RAID 1 or RAID 10 . However, you should still back up your important files/data, as RAID is not a proper backup solution.
Hey, thanks for laying out your requirements so clearly—makes it easy to understand what you’re aiming to build. Running multiple Docker containers with those specs under $20/month is definitely doable with the right balance between performance and reliability.
I’ve seen setups like this work well for self-hosted stacks, especially when SSD I/O is prioritized and the location matches the user base. If you’re still exploring options, feel free to DM me—I’d be happy to go over a couple of choices that might fit your budget and deployment goals.
