hostslim / vpsslim cannot be recommended - keep your hands off this provider!

after i had extended two packages, the prices were charged twice again with the vat. since then an eternal email traffic with paddle and also tickets with hostslim.
now i wanted to look at the tickets again and this one, these effeminate guys who only offer junk and could not solve the vat problem for over a year, have now simply blocked my account.
hostslim i can in no way recommend but only advise against booking any service there.
of course, these criminals have not paid anything back!

You chose to be a penny-pinching genius and buy horse shit. Well, enjoy your 75-cent victory.
lesson learned. no question. just want to protect others from these rags.
are you related to HostShitlim?
@hyperblast is it vpsslim!
its HostSlim OÜ
Please PM me your ticket ID. I will lookup your situation. I don't see any double VAT after the last module update. I want to investigate this for you. I am not aware of blocking of your account. Would be strange to me without reason. So please PM me either your ticket ID or email address and I'll check what's going on.
nope. was in contact with you via ticket. now suddenly my account is closed. have no access to tickets and invoices i need for paddle to prove that i got double vatet.
PM me your registered email address and I'll see what's going on.
first you should answer paddle. the told me after two weeks the following:
you weren't interested in finding a solution before and with all due respect i'm not interested in dealing with you anymore. i've learned my lesson and will warn you where appropriate.
In regards of why your account is closed: you cancelled all your services yourself and we do not keep unused accounts open in general. That caused your account close. Since it looks like you did not want to have any services with us anymore. I have now manually re-opened your account. Also as said we added your service credit on 14/07/2025.
I also can't replicate your VAT issue anymore. This was solved. Just tried with another invoice and I don't see the VAT issue. Only one time VAT is applied also via the Paddle module.
Of course you're free to voice your opinion. Freedom of speech.
With all due respect to you - you voiced your issue. The provider replied you. Now you're being the dick.
Rule #1 here bro...
So please try to work with them and see if they actually fix it. And do post an update. You'd be surprised..
The host has replied here that there is no double-vat after the update and that they credited you it... So unless you provide evidence - this thread is starting to look sus and lean towards host being in right ... Just my opinion. But what do I know...
This has been an ongoing issue for like months if not even years, @hyperblast has been extremely patient about this issue and I can understand why he's annoyed. I don't even use PayPal with HostSlim cuz of this double VAT issue, but I haven't checked if it's fixed now tbh.
They are not what they used to be, I even myself made a review in LET about them but mentioned multiple times in some threads (and even in private with Ralph) that the support situation needs to improve, but doesn't seem like it's happening anytime soon. I just have cheap deals with them, so I won't bother about it too much tbh, but I won't personally recommend them (or add a big * before doing so) unless they fix this mess.
I mean I get it - but as a host myself, and I'm sure other hosts would agree - once a solution has been offered (send me your email by pm and I'll check it), follow-up on that solution should be done and then a follow-up posted to the thread. A lot of times people in rant like this and it turns out to be all hype. And it can really hurt providers. If it is the case that provider is bad - they said they re-opened his account - I'd expect some invoices or tickets to be posted (with personal details blacked out) - so that people can know the review is factual and not a one-time issue or as the host is claiming - and old issue that was fixed.
The only problem I have with this OP is the attitude when the host replied - "screw you, I'm going above your head already and won't work with you to fix the issue after I posted here and got all the attention" which is a very bad look for them.
Hey! I contacted you directly on Telegram. I want to get to the bottom of this.
do you know hyperblast ? i don't think so.
are you a customer of vpsslim ? i don't think so.
Of course not - and that is literally the point. I'm not taking sides here. I'm stating what I saw.
Read back yourself - without prior bias - as most random people coming to LET would. Remember LET is PUBLIC - it isn't closed and not everyone will know the history. What people will know is the interaction they saw here.
Which was:
1) guy posted negative about host with no screenshots, invoices, tickets, etc.
2) host offered to help the guy and then gave explaination that it was an issue in past but was fixed and he was reimbursed for the mistake
3) client then attacked at host and refused to work to resolve issue.
That's what 99.99% of anyone coming here that isn't on either side sees. It's what the thread shows - not a personal history.
he is a well known member - and i trust him what he says without the above.
host said issue is fixed multiple times and was not .. maybe now... i had same issue before. Host reacted because it was posted in LET. IF you look back that he had suppory which btw was very slow and reopening etc ...
he did not attack and he will resolve the issue.
now with all that said ...
have a nice evening.
Don't get involved in other people's problems; dedicate your time to improving as a company. Personally, I used to give my opinion on other people's issues, but in the end, it doesn't make sense. I realized that it really isn't right to be that way.
We learn from our mistakes!!!
If @hyperblast is doing such a thread, it means that the situation is serious...
I've seen the double vat issues popup here many many times in the past 12 months if not longer im sure even mods got involved (cant remember who exactly) but this isnt something that's just popped up its been a recurring issue for a good while, Overall i had a good experience with @VPSSLIM but i let my services expire and dont plan on renewing due to several "miscommunications" with the support team who did suspend my servers on multiple occasions aswell as randomly turning off my vps with no warning of explanation, its not all bad though besides these issues it was smooth sailing and pretty good value for money in Estonia

I'm also experiencing the random "turn off your VPS for days or weeks at a time" from VPSSlim. Even worse, they "suspended" my VPS even though I'm not owing, and they keep trying to bill me with a new invoice that is not in my billing portal. I would cancel but there's no way to remove my payment methods from their system and I'm concerned they'll just keep billing. 5 (still open) tickets over the past 6 weeks, two "let us look into it" emails from HostSlim and daily "Credit Card Payment Failed" emails.
The temporary replacement VPS I got is cheaper, has less RAM/CPU/Storage but is at least an order of magnitude more responsive especially I/O. Until they fix their issues, I recommend against them.
PM me your ticket ID and I will look into for you! We don't suspend without reason but I will look into it.
@hyperblast
"VPSSLIM" shouldn't be trusted was about the first lesson in VPS hosting I learned many years ago, or more precisely, a friend and colleague learned and I through him.
I don't remember all the details anymore but it boiled down to endless to and from and endless excuses and lies from @VPSSLIM. At the end of the day my friend gave up because it was absolutely clear and evident that "they" (actually it was a one man show) neither could nor wanted to supply what they had advertised and what my friend had paid for.
So, lesson learned. We both never again even considered buying from them or looking at their advertisement or promos.
As far as I can remember I never talked about it here because I assumed that the fact that they still are in business indicated that they had learned something as well, namely that to grow a hosting business one shouldn't serially lie and fuck customers - it seems my assumption was too optimistic.
But hey, if there are a few countries with plenty providers, i.e. many to choose from, NL certainly is near the top. So, my advice is to just do what my friend did (and back then there were way fewer providers in NL) that is, to simply go on and to pick a better provider. LET is full of NL VPS offers. To name a few, incl. two particularly positive examples, @Hybula (actually in NL), @HostDZire (also top quality + attractive pricing), or, if low price is more important than quality @Hosteroid, Zerocloud (or whatever their name is now), @Chunkserve come to mind in terms of cheap to super cheap yet usual or even decent quality.
And of bloody course to let our community know about your bad experience with Vpsslim - which you did and I thank you for that.
Btw. don't be impressed by his flurry of positively looking activity here and now. Same back then, he's a slick talker (but sadly his nice words don't carry any weight).
I cancelled all my products with VPSSLIM a while ago and I have not regretted it. Sometimes they don't respond to tickets, or they close them without replying and @hyperblast was very patient for a long time
correct summary.
i had estonian "services".
My friend has an account.
Time for get ready and prepare for migration I guess.
advisable and wise decision
