    That's the default action of the majority of providers, which is why they say a specific plan includes xxGB or xxTB of bandwidth each month. Your bandwidth usually resets either at the end/beginning of the month or on the monthly anniversary of your VPS. That's probably what 99% of providers do as that's the default setting for most control panels.

    Only recently do providers throttle bandwidth upon reaching your allocation. (We throttle at 100Mbps, I think, once limit is reached)
