How common is "nested virtualization" in VPS plans? should I expect Proxmox VE to work on a VPS
How common is it for VPS providers to allow 'nested virtualization' in their plans? is this a niche thing that is NOT usually offered by default?
I have proxmox VE as my hypervisor at home and wanted to explore migrating this install to a VPS since I can easily migrate LXC and VMs thanks to Proxmox Datacenter manager https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Proxmox_Datacenter_Manager_Roadmap
Anyone done this? any tips?

It's usually not offered. We offer it, but I know of many providers that don't. It's something to ask your provider for sure before you purchase a VPS.
LXC does not need nested virtualization, but KVM does.
Hi,
if its not mentioned in the offer to be activated then you should assume its not active which is quiet often the case.
This said, we actually dont mention it, but its activated by default with us too ^^;
And just like already mentioned, LXC as container virtualization does not need CPU virtualization capabilities. So it will, just like Docker or Podman, or any other Container run on any hardwarevirtualization, and if activated even inside other containers.
