VERY unique locations
What are some countries where you have basically just seen one or two hosts yet or those where like actually none are.
Im talking like really unique, not just exotic
personally i havent found one in greenland for example. and please not hosts that like only serve people from very specific countries (some limitations are obviously normal)

Iceland 🇮🇸
North Korea actually has a few which I'm surprised by
I'm sure to help facilitate their govt sponsored cybercrime.
Afghanistan

Given that there haven’t been any updates to this site since 2020, I’m guessing that they stopped operating. I recall that colocation pricing wasn’t actually too bad.
We got already Taiwan, Islamabad, Dhaka and Vietnam on LET.
Recently we got a bunch of Baltic states.
Iceland would be lit though.
How about more rare Canada locations?
flokinet, 1984, the.hosting etc etc there actually is a lot there imo. not that insane
i will personally go to your house and beg on my knees for you to open a hong kong loc for aluy
taiwan is very cool, im not looking for cities though more countries themselves. vietnam is so full of hosts though sadly
Not cheap though, not in LET budget, not 7$/y
xD
well that makes sense
but isnt there pretty many hong kong too? it may be an idea though ngl
Vietnam was recently for 12$/y, best I have seen so far.
Taiwan is about 1.30€ if you buy directly form the Chinese.
More Australia deals maybe too, something more exotic, non Sydney.
I think the most unique location I have currently is Angola with elende.io.
They serve intentional customers as well (with paypal payment gateway)
The price isn't cheap:
For the price you get unmetered bandwidth and great connectivity thanks to angolacables (they have submarine cables connected to west African countries, western Europe and even Brazil).
The man running elende is also really nice. I can recommend them if someone is looking for an unique location.
hmm... Bosnia and Herzegovina
Armenia
Sounds like I need to buy one. Unmetered bw and great connectivity for Africa sounds interesting.
Taiwan, South Korea and Indonesia
The routing and location is interesting indeed.
50ms from Brazil to Angola is lit.
But question is, can you really justify 9$/m for this?
I would like to see more in Cambodia and Thailand.
Know only of LightNode in both, but it's expensive at like $8/month, and the routing looks like aside from the few local in-country destinations, everything else is tunneled from Singapore.
I would like to see Czech Republic here on LET! 🇨🇿
I haven't seen anything in Sri Lanka yet, or Maldives
gamerhost.pro
hes very nice, he surely will join if you ask
Your message made my day!
CHANGE MY VIEW: 1x vCPU Ryzen 9 5900X, for 159 CZK/month (6,45 EUR) is too much
Vatican

Electricity is expensive in SEA for the most part, and transit is not cheap.
Thailand has great interior networking. Was getting 5G speeds even when in could not see the shore line when on longtail boats and even in rural villages and mountain tops, but outside the country most traffic goes through Singapore. Great fast fiber inside the country everywhere.
Cambodia has a new direct underseas line going live soon straight to Hong Kong, so that is promising for good Asian routes but power is still expensive.
About to go to the motherland and gonna start a small homelab there myself just for the shits and giggles, stuff's pretty cheap there
Enquired about colo in the major DCs over there and they're asking for $10k for 1G Transit
I haven't seen much in the Balkans (Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia), as well as Central America (Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama) at reasonable prices. I would love to deploy some Tor/I2P relays in those places, given that they barely have any and make the network more diverse.
Can’t see any sane person starting something in Thailand, especially anything risky like to low budget customers. It’s a great place to visit but when it comes to the laws and how officials operate and making stuff official, it’s just a nightmare. Even educated locals find simple stuff difficult sometimes.
Can’t wait for $7/yr Greenland hosting
