Seeking provider with unusual data center location.
I am seeking providers with special DC locations, I mean hosts that can provide servers from a basement or DIY DC in someones apartment.
Requirements are loose maybe they have backup power maybe they do not, maybe the only upstream link is a high bandwidth residential line maybe its redundant maybe its not, maybe its a one man operation, maybe its sharing the space/address with a nail saloon or running out the back of an old factory building. Just some thoughts, comment the unusual providers not looking for another provider selling colocated space in some big company DC that was purpose built to host servers its to boring :-)

Yes, but one of the ones i would consider for more serious application. This thread is more for fun :-)

I was running the server on the dining table at home, and the only thing that bothered my wife was the noise.
C1V hosting. Hosted in a premium tier 3 datacenter in Italy (in a garage)

How much you pay for internet?
I moved my servers from colocation to my home.
It was a dream of mine since I was a teenager to do this and obviously it doesn't make any financial sense because the company is losing money but I learned a lot of things that I wouldn't have learned from books.
Also, some people are looking for locations like mine, not datacenters, otherwise it wouldn't make any sense to have over 200 active services without having advertised in the last 18 months.
The price of the internet is confidential but as an idea the monthly expenses for energy, internet and AntiDDoS exceed 1000 EUR per month.(and consider that half of the energy costs are covered by photovoltaic panels in the summer months)
