Suspicious as fuck.
Well, let's keep it simple. If @Verasel is OK with it, I'll take that very generous offer and report back here.
Maybe, if Verasel is OK with it, I'll put some VPS on it, free of course, and keep only a minor part for myself.
That not only should provide clarity re the question whether his offer is "suspicious as fuck", but also make sure that there are some more witnesses for the server being really provided, and really for a full year.
I was warned by him too
I don't like it but eh perhaps better too much than not enough.
@TimboJones
100% serious offer. No lies here.
@jsg I would welcome it, and provide enough IPv4 resources as well, incl. IPv6.
Perfect! That should settle the "suspicious" BS once and for all.
I'll contact you tomorrow by DM (it's already quite late here).
Oh, and: thank you very much, @Verasel!
Didn't know of that offer before reading this comment but I have little doubt @Verasel is 100% serious about this offer.
It's insanity but so is life in general. Once you've come to terms with that fact, opportunity is endless.
The suspicion isn't that you won't provide it, it's WHY you'd give away like $70k worth of gear and not have a way to make that much and more back.
Like you might have 2000 Chinese hacking servers and wanted to sprinkle some legit traffic. Just an example of nefarious intentions when heavily subsidized/free. jsg will never pay you $145 or whatever a month, why the fuck are you subsidizing complete strangers with no potential to turn into a large, reoccurring customer? So we're looking at incompetence (deadpool/bankruptcy) or malice (who is paying the bill and why?).
People are suspicious of $5 free lunches, let alone $70k in annually provided hardware.
so both have kissed and made up? sounds peachy
@Verasel has been nothing but kind and helpful to me personally and I thank him for that. I don't have a free e3 or anything ro share yall some yabs but he defo "hooked it up".
@TimboJones
I can actually understand you, and I will try to answer as succinctly as possible:
This is both innovative, type of guerrilla marketing techniques coupled with wanting to do good, make use of unused resources, and broaden the knowledge of the brand itself.
Google did the same thing, many other companies did the same thing. People called them crazy, but it worked. I am not here to fuck anybody over, I will, in time, post proper offers, and make money as well, but at the moment, why not just do giveaways? and make people happy?
It can't hurt anyone, and it's more than obvious that I have always delivered on my promises, I gave away so many of the domains that I spent tens of thousands on acquiring... you could call me crazy for doing that... Maybe I am? I gave @MannDude some of my MOST FAVORITE domains, which were crazy expensive to acquire.
Do I regret it? No... was it in haste? No... Were any of the giveaways in haste? Absolutely not... Especially the domain giveaway. I spent the majority of my life building websites for people, only for them to dump them like garbage, and for domains to end up with cybersquatters.
I do not want to be a cybersquatter. If a client is ill, does not want to continue with his site anymore, and offers it to me as a "payment" (for being sorry), I will take it, but I will not sell it.
I will rather give it away to someone to use it... Some people who participated in the domain giveaway did what they wanted with their domains, and that's what I BELIEVE IN as a human.
If you are giving something away for free, do not put conditions on it, IF AT ALL POSSIBLE -- and for domains, there were no conditions. Take them, sell them, trade them, do whatever you want. It's yours.
Most were re-sold.. I would hope some were used and have real sites on them? I don't know, it's not that a lot of money was spent on some of them, it's the fact that I could have made crazy cash making simple WordPress sites and flipping them, since it's really easy to write short, but concise articles that Google loves... and with AdSense... some Amazon affiliate links, you are quickly making bank. No issue whatsoever.
There is no secret Chinese hacking farm.
There is no profit being made.
I am hopeful it will be profitable, eventually, who doesn't? But, money never dictated anything in my life. Remember, as I have stated publicly, multiple times, I grew up dirt poor. I didn't have anything to eat some days, why would I let money control what I do? I am capable and intelligent enough to make sure that I can deliver on my promises, but will I do things JUST TO EARN MONEY? No, I will not... Other people can do so, but it's not for me... not because I am "better" than anybody else (totally not, inadvertently, thinking of that The Kinks song, the only person that will probably get the reference is @raindog308, lol) but because I want to make a difference.
I want the underprivileged members to be treated equally, I don't want to see no degrading comments based on nationalities, or fraud records bullshit. I want for this to be what I thought it was. A community for people looking for cheap and affordable deals, that they can afford with their hard-earned money.
Not a community of hucksters, or enablers of hucksters, who offer unsustainable deals, take people's money in advance, and do nothing to help other than jump in to defend their dear "provider" friends. Scratch my back, I scratch your back.
None of that here... If I had the money, I would offer @jbiloh all of it to buy LET, and convert it to XenForo, and go away with the Patron Provider tag, and make the rules -- the rules of the people. I obviously do not have that type of money, nor will I be invited to help LET in any capacity as Staff due to my desires to change the status quo, but that's all there is to it.
No secrets. No profits in the giveaway. There will be once I start posting the offers... until then, the giveaways... I have sponsored many other people, but I will never write their usernames, the only username I mentioned was @MannDude's, because I gave him the domains that I considered my babies, because I believe in his project, and I trust in his integrity. He is not a bad provider, and I will support that, even if it means that I won't be able to do a project that I wanted to do for years. But, at the end of the day, maybe it was meant to be? Maybe he will make it into something better. You never know.
@cybertech
We are friends as far as I am concerned. I understood, in the end, that he acted as per the rules. Whilst I believe that rules should be interpreted differently, it is in the end, up to the Staff memmber to decide.
I just hope, and wish, that they will restore my threads, and let me do the giveaway. I already asked for permission for 1 giveaway via PM.
@akaemu
Thank you, brother. I appreciate it.
Some of us, like you may know, are going through difficult times, in every sense possible, and if we can do something to make the world a little bit better... I would appreciate it if we could join the forces and do something for the better. Not troll each other, fight, etc.
Well, I think @angstrom always ignores us when we send a question or inquiry, and he doesn't respond in a positive or negative way. Despite being a moderator, I think it's a bit difficult for him to write since he just ignores messages!
I don't want to get into this post; I'm just sharing my experience as a moderator; he never responds to any of our messages!
You'll do and say anything to be in the limelight.
Even when it has nothing to do with you.
Mind not changed. I still don't understand how you can afford to subsidize and show little business sense. Google and Facebook subsidize the shit out of things because the more internet users, the more revenue they earn.
Despite the long reply, I didn't get the business plan for turning a profit by doing annual giveaways. Verasel (11 pages in and I still don't know your company name) sounds like a vag cream, not that you're building up a big brand name with the giveaways. Racknerd outshines you there for building brand, and they just half the bandwidth and then give it back to you as their advertising hook.
But I think I misunderstood the giveaway as including 10Gbps unmetered for free, (so not 70k/year in value) but sounds like unmetered gigabit, which is still competitively $30-$50/mo per server on old as hardware.
I still don't see how this makes business sense which means you're a one man shop with no other partners that is wondering about growing a business using profits and not debt. You're also a hot head, so that in an owner ran business is something to be wary of.
You shouldn't express yourself like that when I'm not attacking anything!
From the first problem or question I had, I sent him a question and we never got a response.
Feel free to check our messages to him!!
You shouldn't judge without checking first. You should respect people who don't disrespect you. I think the only one seeking the spotlight is you. You're the only one responding with senseless ignorance. Even other administrators respond with more ethics than you!
We are both aware that it is old hardware, and that they are unmetered gigabit ports. People know how many bandwidth intensive sites I host. Bandwidth wise, it's no issue.
As far as Google, I was speaking of the early days... and namely, Google... not others, just imagine how costly it was to be able to do all that -- for free. A fully functioning search engine, completelyl free. To this day, people struggle.. and it can't be about the knowledge, but, like I said, to this day... people "borrow" SERP's from Google, incl. Bing. Even though it was an expensive project for Microsoft themselves.
I could name other examples, as well.. where people spent far more on advertising and made absolutely nothing.
The idea here is that those users will convert into customers, due to the fact that I am providing:
It's just good business, at least in my opinion... I am not running a profit, but I am not losing, either...
It's a shame that you don't like the name Verasel, because the meaning stems from something really important to me, but it is what it is. I personally thought that it could be something that you could grow into a brand, and then shorten it to "Vera", like the bigger companies do with re-branding after acquisitions, etc.
I don't know how else to convince you that the plan is sound... It's just some old hardware, and gigabit ports. Nothing crazy, really. Yes, it could hurt some companies, badly, but the bigger issue here is whether or not what isn't even a brand yet suffers from people being convinced that it's some sort of a scam, or some idiot...
Verasel is one person, maybe it hasn't always been, but, as we speak, right now. Verasel consists of one person, with good intentions, and wise ideas... If those 40x servers help LET weed out the hucksters and summerhosts, through our knowledgeable members like @jsg running the tech side of things for them... that's just beauty.
I can't comment on RackNerd... I don't feel it would be proper to comment on another member's company name.
Well, whilst I do not know @nohavps, I would say that he has been treated rather poorly in general, by the community. I can't quite figure out why, maybe due to miscommunication, maybe due to something else, it's hard to say....
But, I would at least appreciate a response from you, because like I have stated many times prior, we are adults. I apologized to everyone, and I apologize to you @DP for stating that you were selling "illegal" domains, which was sarcasm, clearly understood as me being some type of a daftie, even though it's obvious that it's what you use it for defines the legality, which we are both aware of). Still, I apologize to you.
I would still, like I stated before, Just like all of my threads restored, and given permission for 1x giveaway. It's surely not a lot to ask for, nor does it require hours upon hours for a response, either.
I will edit the domain thread to remove plausible uses, and it will be 100% kosher by any community's rules, period.
Thank you, regardless.
As it has been mentioned numerous time, you only have 1 thread removed.
Why do you keep saying "all"?
And with regards to obtaining permission for the giveaway, it will need to be done via a ticket.

It's all there, mate.
Can you tell me why I want to be the center of attention? Did you speak/communicate? Please explain this? Having a moderator/administrator position doesn't mean being better than others. In the end, we all work for someone. A community without users isn't a community!
A company without clients isn't a company!
Express my opinion, and since you're an administrator, check my messages. It's assumed that any user with a problem or question has to ask a moderator. If you have any questions, the person you ask just ignores you or ignores you!
As I indicated, don't be disrespectful. Don't start a pointless post!
If you don't receive a response, that doesn't necessarily mean you're being ignored.
Please remember that volunteers have limited time and capacity, and it’s important to be respectful of that.
So the problem isn't the users/companies that participate, it's the people you put in positions that don't have time or only have time for certain things. I think you should review the system from within so you can offer something better to your community outside!
LET Dynamic Duo Verasel and Nohavevps in the house!
For my part, I have nothing more to say. I'm going to sleep
I've already explained my doubts and if anything else, we're at your service!
If in doubt of this forum, there's this: https://services.lowendtalk.com/submitticket.php
subtle foreshadowing right here on page 8
i would recommend both you to get xanax at bulk discounts / buddy price!
otherwise daily exercise is just as good if not better
@DP Yeah, you are being a dick for no reason. Shame, didn’t expect you to be that type of a person.
@FAT32 approved at least one via PM; so it makes no difference. Ticket or PM, if the entire Staff team is tagged, which I have done. Properly.
Whatever, I am done with you people. You can’t change people who do not wish to do good instead of being the Grinch.
I wish @jbiloh cared enough to stop this type of shit, but, it clearly won’t ever happen. Staff will continue to ignore users, be cocky, and just use the site to make money.. even though, if you are of any position, you shouldn’t be allowed to receive any monetary value for your contributions.
I will honor the server with @jsg, as promised, and it will be an even better server.. as far me posting any offers here, or participating in any discussions?
Not going to happen. No amount of money, after that cocky comment from you @DP would make me want to be a part of a community where an Administrator — no less, responds in that manner.
Shameful, but considering that you are already profiting off of LET and its users, even though you should be an unpaid volunteer.. why should I be surprised that you are also cocky, as well?
Continue letting the trolls, racist people, scammy providers and such doing their thing, and some of you guys, “unpaid volunteers” profiting off of your positions. It’s fitting… sucks, but it makes sense.
C’est la vie.
I want parting gift $7/y deals please if possible.
Sure, send me a message elsewhere before I get rekt.
You can get some crypto prize, or a gift card and use it for a nice deal that you can find.
Otherwise, I can get you whatever you can think of. A domain? Steam gift card? Amazon? Bare metal itself that is $7/y but not really.
Just tell me.
Oh, so I'm a dick now for making sure you went through the correct approval process?
I tagged all of you in a PM.
I don’t know my support account email. I don’t know the password. I would have used the portal if I had the access or could recover it. I don’t remember what I used. That’s it. Literally. I wasn’t being a diva, I did what was available. Tag all of you.
Instead of responding in a normal tone, you responded like a high school thug telling the nerd to go suck it, essentially. Customer service worse than Taco Bell, literally.
