no the pants have not dropped yet
but i am still willing to take pants off for great and fantastic unsustainable birthday deals
I have finished cleaning my office and updated my VPS spreadsheet and become bored again. More deals required before i begin randomly re-installing servers. Wonder when @host_c will wake up today...
GB6:
Happy birthday!
Good morning and thank you for posting this. Very nice
Just a note to anyone who sees it:
This is a new IP range that wasn't previously used, location is being updated at geolocation databases. We rigorously are hunting down all incorrect location data and getting it updated. Most databases in-fact have been updated, but do their updates on weekly or bi-weekly terms, so it will show correctly in their next database updates. Apologies for any inconvenience this causes. This is not something we control - it's controlled by all the 100s of Geolocation Database providers who seem to all just throw out conflicting information on unused / unannounced blocks. Some are showing it as UAE (Dubai), some as Germany (Frankfurt), some as USA (Florida). We do follow up and push Geolocation Providers to get it updated as quickly as they can - almost to the point of being annoying to them. We also publish geofeeds that they should be updating from - as they've all been provided with it already in past and claim to auto-update from it. Again, this is something outside of our control - as we have to rely on outside companies / agencies / people to update that information on their own databases. From experience in past - this process usually takes about 7-10 days for 80% of databases and the other 20% are offline databases like ip2location and so on that get updated when the people running the checker websites / programs / apps update their database from it.
Thanks for your detailed explanation!
BTW, do you offer enabling VM-x please?
@avsisp I spent the same amount as this event at the first opportunity and used the same discount code, but I still can't get the upgrade? Don't run upgrade campaigns you can't commit to!
Below is the response from support.
I'm not even sure how to enable that to be honest. I can research it and let you know - feel free to submit a ticket and I'll get right to it.
You ordered before the offer. The offer was for the final day of the Birthday thread - yesterday - not for days ago.
Can you go to a store, buy something today, and then a few days later if they post a special buy one get one free, can you go ask them to give you another one free?
Anyone who ordered during that time period AFTER the post was made offering it for the REST OF THAT DAY did indeed get doubled up as was offered.
We definitely honor our deals - but you are the only one here that decided after the fact that there was a better deal they wanted the new deal after they already had paid and it was already delivered.
To honor your request, we would have to delete and re-build your VM entirely - and it isn't fair to others who paid normal and didn't make issues after a new deal was posted. This - what you are doing - is literally equivalent to requesting the store give you a buy one, get one free when you bought before that offer was valid.
HOWEVER:
If you want, I can throw you an IPv4 as a good-will gesture. Other upgrades require VM rebuild.
I am late to the party?
No, you have time to prepare, because it doesn't seem to have started yet.
Yes, it hasn't started yet, but it's already over.

In the spirit of rather late than never ... two very exclusive deals, of which just one is available each:
If interested, order through PM.
Prices exclude VAT if applicable. These deals cannot be used to replace existing services.
Damn bro, i missed it ( make some deal for vpn, 10$ per year, i will grab one
No feeling a pity. Many people like me, focus on the thread, add into cart but got slipped away on last step.
BTW, you must mean VPS, not VPN right hhha
i mean for vpn. hm, yeap, i mean VPS for VPN )))))
I must disagree with your comparison. This situation is not about two separate sales. It concerns a single promotional event where the terms were altered, disadvantaging initial participants.
The core principle here is that customers who paid an identical price using an identical promotional code during the same campaign should receive the same product. Currently, early supporters are at a clear disadvantage.
I accept that a VM rebuild is necessary for the upgrade. Please proceed with it. My request is simply to receive the same configuration that was rightfully offered to others under the exact same payment conditions.
Let's use your twisted logic:
Manual setup cost money - man hours. If you want your VM redeployed you are asking for MORE than people that ordered the same thing after you aka "customers who paid an identical price using an identical promotional code during the same campaign should receive the same product." - and it's not "rightful to others", right?!
On normal note:
You bought X for Y price, you got X for Y price..
Then there was promo for Z for Y price, they got Z for Y price.
Didn't like X? Shouldn't have bought it in first place. Yes, price change, market change, things change, calculation change. Don't like it? Don't buy it.

I really hope @avsisp not gonna even give you IPv4. You knew what you bought, you were told once that you won't get it, you came here blackmailing. Fuck you.
Are there some host-c surprise deals tonight?
You bought an ipv6 vps, you got an ipv6 vps, what do you want?
Hey @host_c I will step out in like 3 hours
you know what to do.
You must be an avid fan of avsisp, preferring to get a lower configuration during the same promotion with the same discount code. Your words make me sick.
I want to win today.

Could you please check what the merchant has sent? If this is an additional promotion, I certainly have no issue with it. They could use different promotion codes just like @host_c . However, they are using time intervals instead, which makes the earliest supporters look foolish.
You paid for your product, he delivered it, period!
