[Looking For] Singapore VPS with 1Gbps Bandwidth Under $20/year – Direct 4837 Route to China

Hi everyone,

I'm currently looking for a budget VPS hosted in Singapore, with the following criteria:

Bandwidth: 1Gbps port speed with actual 1Gbps throughput (more is welcome)

Price: ≤ $20/year, annual payment

Specs: No specific requirements – even 1 core / 0.5GB RAM / 10GB storage is perfectly fine

Purpose: I mainly need it for its network route to China

✅ Key Requirement:
Please provide a test IP or Looking Glass, as I need to verify if the route to China Unicom goes directly through AS4837 (China Unicom’s backbone) from Singapore. This direct route usually results in ~70ms latency from China.
I do not want routes that detour through the US and result in 300ms+ latency.

Note: AS4837 is a regular (non-premium) China Unicom route. I’m not asking for premium China Optimized (e.g., CU VIP GIA) lines.

❌ What I’ve found so far:
I’m aware that Claw offers a $20/year VPS with SG location and claimed 1G bandwidth. However, due to their poor reputation, I prefer to avoid them and work with more reliable providers.

🔍 Other Notes:
I plan to write a detailed review of the chosen product on Nodeseek, a Chinese tech forum, which may help bring some visibility and potential sales to your offering.

No rush. If nothing is available now, I'm happy to wait until Black Friday for better deals.

Thanks in advance – please feel free to reply with offers or test IPs!

Hi, I don't think you will find anything better than ClawCloud. They also don't aggressively limit bandwidth in Singapore so you should be fine.

    您好,我觉得你找不到比 ClawCloud 更好的新加坡小盘鸡了。而且,新加坡的水管限制也不严格,所以应该没问题。

Alright bro, I trust what you said. So now I’m open to trying Claw’s Singapore VPS after all.
It seems the only option available now is their previous plan — quarterly for $5.25 or semi-annually for $10.50.
I’ll check around to see if anyone is willing to transfer that plan to me.

  • Some users on Chinese forums have unrealistic expectations about pricing. When they violate the Acceptable Use Policy through excessive usage and subsequently face restrictions, they complain the vendor’s reputation.

It seems difficult for most service providers that do not specifically offer China routes to connect directly to China Unicom's AS4837 network from Singapore due to additional costs. However, China Mobile only requires connecting to Lumen or Tata for direct connections in Hong Kong or Singapore.

Got it, thanks brother. You cleared up my confusion. I’ve noticed that many Singapore servers have excellent latency on China Mobile’s CMI routes — very low ping. However, China Unicom’s 4837 often takes a roundabout path. So that’s what’s going on.

Hope you can grab one of Host-C’s special deal servers today and make up for yesterday’s regret!

Lately I've noticed @hosthatch's Singapore network is able to reach some CU/CM/CT IPs within some 60-100ms.

Though as they've said before, this is a best effort routing and not guaranteed as they do not charge extra for this optimization.

But I do find it fascinating that they manage to do this route in the first place as I've never seen any other SGP providers or IP transit providers with such direct outbound routes to China.

I suspect that @hosthatch is doing some sorcery here to route China bound traffic through their HK location which has CMI outbound but I may be wrong. :)

EDIT: I also notice you are looking for $20/year, as HH regular plans don't meet your budget you might try asking around for a transfer or simply just increase your budget. It is quite tough to even find a $20/y provider in SGP, let alone one with China optimization.

how much traffic you want? 100GB? 200GB?

for $20 = less than 150 RMB per year, you can't even buy a decent proxy in China, not mention those proxy service all got bandwidth limit. usually 100-200 GB per month, and you want a 1Gbps line for $20/y ?

To be honest, I really want to remain friendly and have a fair, respectful discussion with everyone here. When it comes to topics I'm not fully familiar with, I don’t jump to conclusions or criticize others casually.

That said, I also can't stay silent when I see responses that combine ignorance with sarcasm. My original plan was simply to close this thread — but before I do, I feel it’s necessary to respond clearly to those who think my expectations are unrealistic.

So, let’s look at some real-world examples:

    1. MetroVPS
      Price: $20/year (promo), $25/year regular

    LET thread: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/207391/metrovps-mega-deal-kvm-vps-w-nvme-asia-dcs-starting-3-50-mo-25-yr-upto-80-off/p1

    Specs:

    1 vCPU

    2GB RAM

    25GB NVMe RAID-10

    500GB bandwidth/month

    100Mbps (Dhaka) / 1Gbps (Singapore)

    1x IPv4 / /64 IPv6

✅ I tested their Singapore IP — latency to China Mobile is around 70ms. (Sadly, I’m not on Mobile — otherwise my problem would be solved already.)

    1. LegendVPS
I’m not sure if they advertised here on LET, but this is a Singapore VPS I currently own:

    Price: $0.50/month (SG-Lite-512M plan)

    Specs:

    1 vCPU

    512MB RAM

    2GB SSD

    1Gbps port

    500GB bandwidth

    1x IPv4

    Link: https://legendvps.com/cart.php?a=confproduct&i=0

Note: Price will increase to $1/month after October. Routing isn’t great, NO China-optimized routing from Singapore, but it works.

    1. Hostdzire Singapore VPS
      Price: $40/year

    Specs:

    4 vCores

    6GB RAM

    10Gbps shared port

    25TB bandwidth/month

    LET thread: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/206576/flash-sale-india-sg-jp-usa-ca-uk-nl-de-with-amd-epyc-25tb-bw-10gbit-from-12/p1

❗While it doesn’t meet my $20 budget, it shows that doubling the price can yield far more than double the resources. This gives perspective.

    1. CLAW
      Price: $21/year

    Specs:

    1Gbps port

    500GB outbound bandwidth/month

    China-optimized routing from Singapore(4837)

✅ This was mentioned by the first commenter in the thread. Even in the second-hand market, it only costs ~$10 more — a one-time transaction cost.

These are not imaginary offers — I either personally own them or have seen reliable community members confirm purchases. I could probably dig up more if needed, but honestly, these are enough to prove I’m not being delusional.

I simply have a very specific need: a Singapore VPS under $20/year with 1Gbps port and China-friendly routing (preferably 4837). That’s it. I'm willing to wait, even until Black Friday, for the right deal.(and I’ve found a provider that suits my needs.)

So again — I genuinely appreciate any friendly advice or constructive help. But I won’t hesitate to push back against unfair or uninformed dismissiveness.

    Thanks for reading.

check your origin post, you said "1 Gbps bandwidth", you don't know what that means? all offer you listed here have bandwidth limit.

maybe you mean you want a server with 1 Gbps port, but that is not "1 Gbps bandwidth" , a real 1Gbps line can push 333 TB per month

BTW, $7/yr offer is just people having fun , making jokes here, looks you took that way too serious

For you, brother, here's one final update. The IP still shows as being in the U.S., but it's actually in Singapore. This is the route from a Singapore server to my local ISP, traced using Nexttrace. I've hidden the second hop because it reveals my server's subnet.

The image shows the return routes from the server to my city through three different ISPs. It's only available in the Chinese version, but I hope you can still understand it as much as possible.

[Resolved] I’ve found a provider that suits my needs. Thanks everyone!

so what the provider you pick ? and provide the latency test from your side (you could cencor some of them :) )

For you, brother, here's one final update. The IP still shows as being in the U.S., but it's actually in Singapore. This is the route from a Singapore server to my local ISP, traced using Nexttrace. I've hidden the second hop because it reveals my server's subnet.
