Waiting so long for the offers I ended up making my own API scrapper that combines the results of check-servers.ovh and ovh.hos7.com
It is interesting that from the API point of view SYS-LE-[1|2] are available but only in the 32 and 64GB versions and still with only 500Mbps not guaranteed while the current SYS have 1Gbps guaranteed.

Why don’t you hit the OVH API directly?

That was my first approach but too many bugs at that moment

You can use this code or adapt the logic. The original code was shared here (sorry, I don’t remember who posted it - maybe it was @fredo1664 ), I’ve made some modifications to provide more detailed information about the plans.

Yep, and that code I mostly took from my script which is in my signature most of the time. Now I'll have to take some time to see if I want to merge some of your enhancements!

Yeah you have to fix some inconsistencies between availabilities and catalog, I do it in my script when I see one.

The website doesn't suffer from this problem obviously, so I don't think this kind of issues is blocking for OVH, hence they are not fixed.

This shit looks better and better but each new feature brings back bugs fixed in other features.
To stay on track, I won't make this tool public at least for now.

Because the topic has derailed a bit, I notice that the availability changes very little. In 24 hours I had only two changes in the total configurations available in the FRA datacenter that I follow.
In other words, interesting configurations either come rarely or sell out instantly.

It’s the weekend in the middle of the month. I have a feeling from past experience (but no real data to back that up) that big restocks happen at the beginning of the month, or at least during weekdays. Otherwise it's the random server which was cancelled and depending on the demand, it can be bought in minutes.

  • Looking to buy a RISE-S-1.

    Also, if anyone's interested, I have an Intel Xeon-E 2136, 128GB, 2x512GB renewing for $42.

Not interested but probably worth mentioning the datacenter too.

  • Is it guaranteed to get set up free if there is a commitment of more than 1 month? I tried getting it, but invoice show set up fee :( now there is no availability!

Looking for a KS-2 with 4x2TB in FRA, global account.

Also how do you buy with API? do you use it local or is there any website for it?

Hey, Yes my mistake. It's in Canada – East – Beauharnois and the monthly renewal price is $41.50.

Not all commitments bring benefits, that's normal.
Then I don't know if there is an implementation of the API somewhere that would order for your account, and I wouldn't use something like that except locally because you don't want your credentials to no longer be yours, regardless of the reputation of the person who would offer you such a service.

Today a new KS-6 with 128GB RAM appeared at 38.99 EUR/mo. I placed an order via API but paid after the offer disappeared from the OVH website, hoping that out of necessity they would offer me a better configuration just to deliver my service within an hour, as specified in the API.
Bad luck, not even 6 hours later the server is delivered and it seems that if I really needed it, now I would have been desperate because OVH does not refund you even if the service is not delivered if you ordered as a company.

In case you haven't realized it, it's clear that I have a problem because I've paid so many installation fees to OVH that any trace of profitability is being amortized by losses with servers ordered for a short time.

I think the KS-B & C have free setup fee if you commit to 3 months or more, it should be displayed on the website when they are available. The other servers, I don't think so.

The API is public. OVH provides helpers for several programming languages, for example: https://github.com/ovh/python-ovh. In the readme of that Github repo, they also give the URL of the APIs which you can use directly in your browser if you want ( @adns has useful instructions to order from the API manually, in their signature ).

I use OVH's helper for my own script. Other users here have made their own scripts too.

If you want a website, @wuck posted a link to this repo some time ago: https://github.com/orvice/ovhcart. In the readme there is an URL: https://ovhcart.lovec.at/
    I have not tried this.

Got it delivered after ~ 9h.
Second KS-6 which was delivered exactly as described.

All the SYS-LE packages are gone from API.
In the morning they had 203 configs available in FRA and now just 168.

  • Could be same configs renamed.

Interestingly, I guess in an OVH way, the renamed SYS-LE (25sysle[x]2) were added to the catalog but not to the availabilities.
