Blud kept bragging about his dedicated bandwidth at .. 30Mbps :( :(

Meanwhile am happy with random prodivers gave me full port speed & such, and no one gave 100M :( at least 1G.

At ULightHost, the 30Mbps is shared bandwidth, while the 1, 2, 5, all the way up to 10Gbps options available in the UHost plans (selectable in the console) are dedicated bandwidth. Please don’t mix them up.

    I don't care.

    Someone cares.

Based on the reactions here and how you constantly have to necro your own thread proves that nobody gives a shit. Horrible, tone deaf offer, whoever manages your LET account and decided on these "promos" should be fired.

Bro really out here marketing 30Mbps in 2025 like he's selling vintage wine. 💀
I’ve seen free hotel Wi-Fi outperform your ‘dedicated’ bandwidth. You calling that 'dedicated'? That’s not dedicated, that’s bandwidth on probation.

He shouldn't be fired — no, no, that’s too kind. He should be rewarded with a 10Mbps ‘dedicated’ line, locked in a server closet with no AC, and told he can go home once he successfully streams a Netflix movie in 1080p without buffering

It’s important to note that ULightHost’s 30Mbps is not dedicated — it’s peak bandwidth. On the other hand, the 1/2/5Mbps options under UHost are dedicated bandwidth. Of course, this is just the promotional list; you can actually customize the bandwidth in the control panel, with options up to 10Gbps. You can also think of them as what people commonly refer to as dedicated servers.

You don't seem to get that 1, 2, or 5 Mbps is utterly worthless. 30 Mbps is worthless too. To get any sort of reasonable speed, the prices are significantly high. It's not even in the same category as many of the $7/year offers that we see here.

Ok, I did it so that you don't have to:

For a configuration of 1C1G20Gb in Los Angeles, this is the monthly costs per bandwidth:

    1 mbps: $15.16
    2 mbps: $18.56
    5 mbps: $28.76
    10 mbps: $71.26
    15 mbps: $113.76
    25 mbps: $198.76
    100 mbps: $836.26
    300 mbps: $2536.26
    500 mbps: $4236.26
    1 gbps: $8486.26
    10 gbps: $84986.26

Now they'll say it's dedicated bandwidth. You can choose shared bandwidth, but that's only shared between your different VPS.

Now the bigger question is, how does this outfit have any customers at these prices?

At $8486 I can get so many chickens from different farms, with 1 gbps
This is after 50% discount right?

That's just their regular price. The discount is on their other service which has a limit of 30 mbps. But this chicken you get dedicated bandwidth. You don't get that at other farms.

These prices are insane. You can find dedicated bandwidth for much cheaper than this and much higher specs for the server. There is absolutely no reason the costs should be this high.

Oh, look at you, pointing out the obvious! So you're actually suggesting that maybe, just maybe, those "super cheap dedicated servers" from "other providers" (you know, the ones we secretly try to emulate but fail miserably) are advertising "fake bandwidth"? Gasp! How DARE you question the sacred scroll of marketing copy!
Noooooo, you can't always focus on the "price"! You shouldn't buy those suspiciously affordable options from the competition, because, well, WE advertise "high bandwidth and low prices" too, and our "actual experience" is definitely not disappointing. (Just ignore the screaming tickets about network latency and those mysterious "maintenance windows" that happen right when you need full speed.) It's not our fault you're not enlightened enough to appreciate our… uh… "optimized" network infrastructure. Clearly, you just don't understand the cutting-edge art of "value-added bandwidth."

Please don’t spread misinformation. The 200GB bandwidth plan (only outbound traffic is counted; inbound is unlimited) has a peak bandwidth of 30Mbps. The cloud server with 1Mbps bandwidth comes with unlimited traffic.
