Hi LET community,
I'm looking for a solid server to act as a high-throughput proxy gateway for my main dedicated server. My primary need is a large amount of monthly data transfer on a fast port.
Here are my requirements:
- Location: Europe (Netherlands, Luxembourg strongly preferred. Other torrent-friendly locations are also welcome).
- Type: KVM VPS or Dedicated Server.
- CPU: 2+ Cores.
- RAM: 2GB+ RAM.
- Storage: Not important. 20GB+ SSD/NVMe is sufficient.
- Port Speed: 1Gbps.
Bandwidth/Traffic (Critical Requirement): This is the most important factor. I am looking for either:
- a) A truly Unmetered plan with a clear and generous Fair Use Policy.
- b) A very high monthly traffic quota, ideally 50TB or more. My project's theoretical throughput is high, so I am looking for the most generous plan possible for my budget.
Budget: Up to $30 USD / month (or equivalent in EUR). Can pay monthly or quarterly.
- Use Case: This server will only run a SOCKS5 proxy. All P2P (BitTorrent) traffic from my main server will be routed through it 24/7. The main server is located at Hetzner in Germany.
- Payment Method: PayPal or Credit Card.
I understand this is a demanding request for the budget, but I'm looking for the best value available. Not interested in "unlimited" plans that are heavily throttled after a few TBs of usage.

This sentence is conflicting. Either way, nobody will provide you unmetered 1Gbps for 30 bucks.

these are paris servers. i think they’re more lenient? i heard you can use public trackers on it. not 100% sure though, double check.
Why not just get a proxy? IPRoyal has ISP and Datacenter proxies. Your budget is the equivalent of 15 datacenter proxies or 10 ISP proxies. In my experience, they're pretty good for my usecase but you might want to look at whether they allow P2P. I just had a look at their TOS and AUP but torrenting is not explicitly mentioned.

yeah I’ve seen those on serverhunter before, but I figured their fair usage would probably get in the way for how I wanna use it. I’ll reach out and ask anyway tho.
Hetzner server auctions has €30 dedicated servers that easily prove otherwise. The only issue is they’re extremely strict about DMCA.
Proxies usually don’t ignore DMCA and often don’t allow high upload or P2P traffic.
i dont think they have a fair usage policy, i think ive seen people on reddit put more than 50tb on their servers.

THAT is the critical point and you neither mentioned it in the title nor in your OP.
I could tell you about some offers that would give you 50 TB for your monthly budget per year - but not DMCA ignored. And btw, I wouldn't bet on providers who offer "DMCA ignored" to actually protect you when push comes to shove ...

Our build-your-own in London might work for you. We don't really care about ddr and all that as much - and it's with unmetered and you can choose your own specs there. We are in the process of writing out terms on that / aup - but 50TB IS NOT AN ISSUE. at all.
I recommend checking out the Caasify marketplace. You can find reasonable offers with a high bandwidth ratio.

You can use our VPS for such things, we allow reverse proxy. The most important thing is that doesn't disturb our neighbours in the same node. Otherwise everything is fine.
We allow reverse proxy and we ignore DMCA in all plans
