Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is designating Aeza Group, a bulletproof hosting (BPH) services provider, for its role in supporting cybercriminal activity targeting victims in the United States and around the world.
...
OFAC is also designating two affiliated companies and four individuals who are Aeza Group leaders. Finally, in coordination with the United Kingdom’s (UK) National Crime Agency (NCA), OFAC is designating an Aeza Group front company in the UK.

lol
Today feels like a small victory. Even the US government has finally taken notice of these scumbags. In Russia, they still haven’t been shut down, even though I reported them to the police. The case was closed because there’s no law here against running hosting services that support malware.
But one big question remains: will Hetzner and Aurologic keep working with them?

❤️ We strongly recommend that you back up any important data as soon as possible.
Also, a kind request — especially on behalf of other clients: if your data consists only of the panel and does not contain any critical or commercial information, please avoid overloading the node’s bandwidth. This will help those who do need to download important data do so as quickly as possible.
Please stay tuned for official statements, which will be released shortly.
UPD.1: Preliminary information suggests that the sanctions apply only to aeza.ru and foreign servers purchased through that domain.
UPD.2: Foreign locations purchased via aeza.ru are affected as well.

aeza.net no working
Try to contact them using LET DM, maybe that helps
We have no business with them, just comment that their website is inaccessible
In general, it is not clear why there is so much attention to them. Even the US government intervened.. LOL
guys its ok they handle abuse reports
Are you fucking blind? It clearly states they hosted everything from ransomware to drug marketplaces.
Even the authorities of your favorite country, Russia, have arrested their founders.
When @alexhost?
Why us, my sweet dear?
I have been following them since 2019 when their first project MSKhost was hacked. That platform also hosted malware. What surprises me the most is their persistence they managed to build a rapidly growing hosting service but at the same time continued to create platforms specifically for hosting malicious software. On top of that they even launched a drug marketplace.
Why am I so angry at them Because when MSKhost was hacked I lost some extremely important data that was stored on their servers
Probably...
In the article it seems as if Aeza is pretty much defended by Tornado/aurologic.:
https://correctiv.org/en/fact-checking-en/2024/07/22/inside-doppelganger-how-russia-uses-eu-companies-for-its-propaganda/
Seems it's time for me move to another hosting
No more free vps for me by using bug exploit😔
Germany is Aurologic, and the other locations in Europe are GRE to Hetzner
Rumor on the street you would host anything for the right $
You can always make a deal, but not on the scale that AEZA did
First of all, AEZA is not an US company and has nothing to do with the United States. Why the hell are they imposing some kind of sanctions on a company located in other countries?
Well, two assholes from this company were doing bad things. But this does not concern the United States in any way. They will answer to the law in Russia. What have you got to do with it?
@jh_aurologic Will you continue working with Aeza?
The fact that correctiv, a leftist-green serial-propaganda and known liar ngo, is mentioned as source of "information" tells more than one needs to know.
As for some us-american agency saying something I don't give a flying fuck. It's largely meaningless and utterly political.
The russian authorities tell me all I need to know; them going against some aeza operatives strongly suggests that aeza isn't clean and maybe even criminal.
FWIW I don't care about aeza, neither a fan nor against them.
Simple: because the USA doesn't care a flying fuck about international laws. But the times when they could dictate their "rules" to Russia are long gone.
I mean he lowkey defended them here in the other thread, so
They consider themselves international police officers who can walk around the world and put handcuffs on
Only this often causes the opposite effect. Everyone is running away from using their local services.
In Russia, they will not be punished for creating hosting services that specialize in hosting malware, especially if the malware is aimed at Europe and the US.
They have been doing this for over six years now. How much longer is this going to continue?
Crimes committed on the territory of Russia are an internal matter of Russia that has nothing to do with foreign countries. They are not American citizens and cannot be extradited to anyone.
And what is your point of action?
Aeza drama part 2 in one day
Behind Cloudflare. CF is a US corporation... and since sanctions...
Get the fuck OUT of this thread then.
@DP Can we take care of this too? Can we just stick to talking about the repercussions of these sanctions on the hosting community, and not reguarded politics?
Reguards.
@jenkki @jsg try not to make it about your love for russia challenge impossible edition
The goal is simple to stop the spread of malware through their underground hosting services.
To achieve that, sanctions were imposed on Aeza, and now everyone who provides them with servers in Europe should cease cooperation
FYI I don't care, I have nothing to do with this company and what will happen to them. It's just the logic and common sense that you lack.
