Does anyone know cheap (preferably under 25$/y) VPS providers that have true unmetered bandwidth (HostShield excluded, I already have one VPS there)
Storage doesn't matter.
IPV4 and no NAT.

There's no such thing as "true unmetered". That's a scam that you all are asking for.

In average, a 1 Gbps line sells for ~ 350 USD/mo. Who do you think will give a 1 Gbps unmetered to you for 25 USD/y. ?

If you want realistic plans, feel free to check out this: https://www.enginyring.com/en/virtual-servers

I picked up this HostShield VPS last month for 20$/y (I think the deal is over now), it's in UK, 2c/2G and it's really unmetered. Im looking for other providers that may have deals like this.

Start doing full bandwidth 24/7 and see how "really unlimited" it is. :)

Setup some cronjob to wget debian ISOs from 20-50 mirrors to /dev/null. That should suffice.

12TB of bandwidth per week used.

There are a lot of reasons why this would work sometimes.

    • provider has large amounts of spare BW and doesnt really care for few extra TBs
    • node is fairly empty and you're the only one consuming bw
    • they auto-route you via cogent cheapshit providers
    • you mostly do DL and it happens that they are not charged for incoming

    ... etc.

However, there's no guarantee it will work everytime and again, there's no such thing as unmetered BW, unless you buy it flat. Then yes, you can use 1G unlimited.

What @Andreix means, aggregate, if all of user consume like you, next following day, providers would like deadpooled. That is the meaning of no such thing as unmetered.

Well at least 'fair use' unmetered then, and it's 6TB down / 6TB up bw

Well, if you wanna test how unmetered is, setup this as a cronjob. :)

On a side node, if you're interested in US location, I do have a node that's mostly idling and could give you something there.

It is true providers cant offer true unmetered on a VPS, all the traffic is shared. Even on my 20g node if i have 20 customers pushin 20g the whole time it just wont work. Thats how our fair-use policy works. As long as you dont impact other users the traffic is fine. But once you get to a point of anyone else getting problems on the pool we will have to limit you. Hasnt happened yet but I aint that big of a provider aswell.

Even if it's fair use I'm seeing satisfactory performance, btw I've never said 1Gbit, lower speed is okay.

Yeah, I just used 1 Gbps for the sake of example.

Alot of providers dont even count in traffic this wouldn't really test an unmetered line push this out then thats a real test

Maybe a stated number like 30TB a month would provide better information for providers.

Find a real unmetered host to push this to and that's it.

    hmm try IONOS, Strato, xHosts.
I've used xHosts for a while now and they've been pretty good.
I would also say OVH VPS because they've been the most reliable and literally don't care about you blasting the port unless its Asia-Pacific location. But it is out of your budget.

Edit: --comment withdrawn after noticing the price requested is 25/yr or less, our is slightly higher at 10/quarter with discount code--

Thanks for the feedback, I am always happy to try and accommodate people's needs, especially on traffic.

ionos.com, 2 usd per month, before it cost 1
I really didn't see them limiting anything, I transferred between clouds about 5 to 8 tb per day for months, and they never limited anything.
