Dawg my point is you’re always a dick regardless lol. DDoS friendly hosting provider or not, you’d still probably leave a snarky comment, or just be a dick in general.

In September of 2022 i joined him with the deal id handle most of the legal shit since he wasnt 18. As of then i have tried to turn the hosting around, but at this point I didnt know shit about hosting. I just started looking into it.
The post that was made on various forums was indeed by a User called "bnt", a support guy in our hosting who was telling us he would advertise. We never checked. 2 weeks later we got raided.
But the case got dropped. Actually just a month ago. This should show how much involvement i actually had. Im by no means a perfect citizen, but who is. The past is the past and you should move on.
I hope this explains my side well enough. If you have questions just ask. I am an open book.

I think it's a good thing that you're owning your past. We were all stupid teenagers at some point and did dumb things. The important part is to learn from your mistakes and do better next time.

About your project: I like the enthusiasm, and the page looks great. But I do share the concerns that the AS-level reporting might be a bit too broad.
Like... should I report ihostart? There's a bunch of shady stuff on that network, but a lot of their customers just use the VPS as a seedbox. So is it bad enough overall to report the entire ASN? 🤷
Also, it makes it hard to factor in the AS size. For example, 100 reports on an AS with a single /24 is a big deal. But on a huge AS like DigitalOcean, that's almost meaningless.
Well it is fine to have shady stuff, all the options i offer to report are just borderline illegal. I wouldnt report that at all.
I have a system where it checks ips and domains fetched via regex from the reports if they are up. If they arent for 3h the report gets removed. I think thats a fair way to not have ASNs that suspend services be listed.
Its a good point that i should check asn size aswell and make the scoring depend more on that. Im not yet sure how ill get the data of how many ips they have but ill try. Thanks for the help

Well, rip, @kait ‘s temp banned now. When you get unbanned, maybe try to monitor yourself a bit more like Angstrom said. You’re risking a permanent ban if this keeps reoccurring, and I’m pretty sure you don’t want that. I get that how you’re acting is probably just part of your personality and it’s not easy to separate from that, but it wouldn’t hurt to try changing a little, or at the very least, limiting your usual style of comments. Just saying… in life, not being a dick to people will get you further than being one (in this case, your temp ban). Up to you though

If they're blocking ICMP requests, is your system going to think they were suspended?
