Storage VPS with >4TB HDD
Hi, I am looking for a storage server with these requirements:
- 4GB RAM - 2 Cores
- 4TB+ HDD
- 500Mbps+ network port
- 10TB Bandwidth
- Good transfer speed to Germany (EU, US East)
- <20$/month
- Reputable provider
Want to use it for Wireguard, Private Trackers (no crazy stuff), Twitch recordings, some automation.
Thanked by 1yxhm

Per year or per month
Per month. I know, this is fairly doable and I think even 10-15$/month are possible, but I would prefer providers, that are in business for a while.
@host_c
I was with them and performance was pretty disappointing. It was ok as a backup server though.
Hi,
would you please have a yabs or other hard numbers, so its clear what is disappointing for you?
Dont have the VPS anymore, but disk performance. I couldn‘t rely on it. Sometimes I couldn‘t even get 3mbytes/s im IO. It was the 10TB special offer.
That is definitely weird and does absolutely not match my experience. Did you open a ticket about that with Host-C? I'm getting constant 4k IOPS/140 MB/s with my Host-C VPS.
And are you sure you didn't test with a very low block size with a single threaded program, that can also cause speeds to appear very low?

Within the next two weeks we plan to launch Storage VPS in Kyiv, Ukraine, with a choice of SAS or NVMe drives. These servers will be powered by Xeon Platinum CPUs and equipped with 40 Gbps network. Traffic will be limited based on a dynamic cap that depends on the amount of storage ordered. SAS drives will be under RAIDZ2.
We offer a base configuration with 2TB of SAS storage for 300 UAH (~$7.2), and each additional terabyte of storage is priced at 125 UAH (~$3).
A 4TB SAS configuration will cost 550 UAH (~$13.2). The number of vCPUs and RAM is not yet finalized, but these will also be dynamically allocated. For a 4TB setup, you will receive at least 1 vCPUs and 2 GB of RAM.
Give this man the $5 per month 5 TB package.
It is too good as storage server.
A very happy customer here.
Hi,
https://layer7.net/cloud-server
there you can order servers from germany and france. They are fully configurable and can have up to 10 TB as disk.
Please get a test account first to check the hardware / routing. Please consider the IO Limits.
I can hook it up
May I ask if you have found a suitable one? Now I am also looking for a similar one
We can offer you:
All for 20 euros per month. Please open a ticket for that.
If you only need 10 TB of traffic, you can also use the following link:

Is your service upgradable from 4 TB to 5TB 6TB? I am wondering because I don't expect my storage need to jump from 4TB to 10TB.
Servarica, OVH, Hetzner.
I can still hook it up, in NY
I got really lucky to transfer a Hosthatch storage vps from a LET member, which has 10TB storage and 50TB bandwidth for 330$/3 years. Unbeatable price.
I am currently using Servarica, but IO is very poor. When I am downloading Private Tracker
Write cache overload: 66.66%
Read cache overload: 0%

This is just one or two seeds downloading,Down Speed 5-9 Mib/s, maybe it's my own configuration issue?
Yes, you can upgrade to a higher capacity anytime via a ticket, no data is lost, no reinstall needed.
Are there any promotions or discount codes available now
Just 10€/Month
The Storage capacity is upgradable in 1TB steps up to 20TB. More is possible upon request and depending on availability. We already had Storage VPS with 50TB in the past.
Hi @chrisp! Seen some great offers already, but I'll throw our Storage VPS configs in the mix, if you prefer EPYC and more power.
3500GB VPS with 6 vCPU AMD EPYC / 12GB RAM / Unmetered BW / 1GBps (shared) / IPv4 / DDoS / Firewall / unrestricted SSH / support included - $27/mo monthly or $24.29/mo yearly.
Right now we have HDDs only in Bucharest, but very soon we'll open our Frankfurt zone too. You can check Looking Glass. Our team can help you migrate, just reach out via the website's live chat. All the best!
Maybe you confused @host_c with another certain romanian provider? Because I have a storage promo VPS from them and benchmarked it not once but multiple times since then and the results clearly show that their disks (I mean the storage disks) even blow quite a few NVMes I've benchmarked out of the water.
If there is anything one might wish to show somewhat better results it's their connectivity which of bloody course is lower than Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London.
Cache the files on a smaller instance, with maybe SSDs.
I don't know what I did, but when I reset the entire VPS, it seems to be working properly
I need a large capacity storage to store PT seeds, so I have to choose HDD. If I am pursuing high speed, I have used NetCup before and it is really fast, but the storage is a bit small for me. However, I don't need a very high speed, maybe 500mbps bandwidth is enough
