hey guys. So I've recently switched to inter server vps and have had a good experience so far. What are your guys's experiences, did I make the right choice?

All anyone in life can do is take it one day at a time.
Make sure to keep regular, off-site backups of anything that's important to you (this should apply at any host, no matter who they are).
Also, make sure to keep a firm eye on your inbox (including junk/spam) for any emails from them (unpaid invoices, abuse complaints, IP changes, etc). A lot of the complaints about providers I see come down to people not reacting to emails from their provider that are important.
A choice is right or wrong, is based upon frame of reference.
