Strong Single-Thread Performance

nilnil Member
edited June 2025 in Requests

Hey folks,

I'm looking for hosting deals that use new-generation CPUs with strong single-thread performance — ideal for web hosting workloads that benefit more from fast per-core speed than from many slow cores.

Preferably something with:

10 cores or more

Good performance-per-dollar

Balanced power efficiency

Not super high-end, just reliable and fast enough for hosting purposes

Would love to hear what’s out there — Ryzen 7000 series, Intel 10th-14th gen, EPYC Milan/Genoa, etc. are all welcome if pricing is right.

Thanks in advance!

7950X or 9950X is always a good option.

Ryzen 9900X is probably the cheapest/best bet if you want a new generation processor. Maybe Ryzen 7900 if you want something a bit cheaper and more efficient.

Or are you looking to rent servers?

  • @lnx Linveo has GB6 3000 single core VPS on a 9950X that you can get at a great price. If you want a dedicated server proper, Rise-S from OVH is also a good bet.

We have Zen 4, Zen 5, and Intel core i9 for instant setup in multiple data centers.

Are you looking for dedicated servers, or VMs? Our VM line uses EPYC Milan and offers a great price to performance ratio: https://datawagon.com/vps

If you're looking for bare metal, we have some high clock EPYC Genoa in stock as well.

As others pointed out - Ryzen 7000 and 9000 series currently will give you the best price/performance ratio.

    I can recommend:

Both offer high performance hosting with Ryzen CPUs for cheap.

I think no other can match them in single thread performance with the performance per dollar ratio.

Our AMD Ryzen 7950X3D servers are currently 30% off:

We are located in Phoenix (US-WEST). I believe we would be a good fit.
