Anyone know what my R640 is worth these days? Don’t wanna sell it too cheap.
Hey guys, just wanted to get some input on pricing.
I’ve got a Dell R640 with enterprise iDRAC.
Specs are: 2 x 8255C CPUs, 12 x 64GB DDR4 2666 Micron RAM (768GB total),
2 x 240GB SSDs and 4 x 1.92TB SSDs (all Dell),
H730P RAID card, and 2 x 750W PSUs.
The server is in LA.
What do you guys think this could sell for nowadays?
Appreciate any thoughts!

I’m considering selling it, but just trying to get a sense of the current market value first.
It really depends, you’d probably get more value selling it on eBay for home lab users, etc. Most hosting providers, who buy servers in bulk, usually won't pay the price you’re likely aiming for.
That said, based on eBay prices (and definitely not supplier rates), the current value would be around €1500 (With the drives, €2000) give or take.
